I've never had trouble getting a job, and moved to this area and started looking around. In Ma, you sign with a temp agency or a couple and they keep you really busy. (I've even had the other company I was not currently working for, show up at my assignment from another company - they were trying to get the contract....she took one look at me and burst out laughing!)
They're beating down your door there. Here, you call, if the person assigned to you does not connect with you, or just does not feel like giving you assignments, you're out of luck. The person I was working with left, with no notice, and when I would call in, first they didn't know who was assigned to me, and then the person reassigned to case would never call back. I moved to another agency and there's plenty of work for someone with 20 yrs experience and a solid employment record.
CONS: Not organized...not caring staff....
The best part of this organization is the Doctor. He's got a lot of personality, is very thorough, and explains it all. I had the worse time trying to get contacts in my eyes, and getting them to stay, and I had to go back to get, ah, lessons. Pretty pathetic when a 10 yr old has to help you put them in! One thing: we get free glasses with our insurance, and when my daughter went in, while we were waiting for the free ones - the clerk helped her fall in love with some purple framed ones. I said 'no,' numerous times, and the clerk was no help. I ended up buying them at $100 and, of course, my daughter lost them within days. Part of that is my issue, but once a parent says 'no,' the glasses should go away, while we're waiting for the others.
PROS: Great Doctor!
For someone who doesn't like medical, dental, etc visits, the Dr Barry makes you feel at home here. He'll explain everything and give you time to adjust before that "puff" of air. He explained the changes in my eyes, and the difference in the sight for my children.
PROS: Good exams!
This store has a good selection, but does not compare to the larger chains like Blockbuster, etc. They have good service though, and there's always someone that'll offer to help you find the movies you're looking for.
PROS: Good selection.
This is a great place to spend some time while the kids are in other stores. This has a lot of variety and items, but many are overpriced. But it's still an interesting way to spend some time.
PROS: Good variety.
CONS: Somewhat overpriced.,
I've had to use Mike's Towing a few times now. They are timely and they know what they're doing. Once in my Mazda, he tighted up a wheel that someone at a station had failed to do! The wheel would have just fallen off while driving. Great service!
PROS: Great service. Always on time!
Good service. Hot and fresh coffee. They have the flavored creams for the coffee. This is a great place to stop to run in to get milk. It's less congested than the other convenience stores in town.
PROS: Good service, fresh coffee.
This dry cleaners does good work. The clothing comes back without a chemical smell to it. The people are personable and the always have the clothing done when they say they will.
PROS: Great efficient staff!
We've taken suits to this dry cleaner before. They are professional, and the work is good, and they always have the suits done on time. They're polite and are personable.
PROS: Good service.
This is a great pharmacy and store. We always take our prescriptions there. They have a drive-through where you can drop them and do errands, and pick them up later. They have a great rebate program, and often will have items inside at discount. I got some great pens the other day for .24 cents a piece. Even one with something fluffy on the top.
PROS: Great service! Great location.
