This business has been part of the community for decades. The vets and techs here are very kind and considerate people. The only thing that I really do not like about this place is its location. It is located on a major road, which is ok. But if you are coming from the west, it is really hard to cross the highway to get to the animal hospital. Regardless of which direction you are driving, parking here is tough. They don't really have a big lot, but you can park on one of the side streets.
Thisis a good place to get a hair cut. It is neither cheap nor expensive and appointments are easy to come by. I think that most of the people who get their hair done here are local people who have been coming here for a while. My only complaints about this place is that it is tucked away in a residental neighborhood which means that it is impossible to find. Because there are so many apartment buildings near this business, it is also kind of difficult to find parking. You may have to circle around to find a spot.
CONS: parking is tough
I would normally never be in this part of the greater cincinnati area, but a friend tipped me off that they have great products here at prices that will not break the bank. my friend was right. they have all sorts of shampoos and conditioners and styling cremes that you would find in a really upscale place, but the prices are down to earth. It took me about 30 minutes to drive here from downtown cincinnati, but it was worth the trip.
This is the place in the Cincinnati area to get good donuts. I enjoy the plain ones, but the ones dipped in chocolate are pretty good also. They have tons of locations all over town and this happens to be their main bakery, which is good if you want the freshest product. I'm not sure how I feel about that fact that they bake everything here and then ship it off to their other locations. I think it may compromise freshness and quality. Parking in their lot can get tight even though it is in the suburbs.
I first tried food from this place when I was visiting Cincinnati for its famous Oktoberfest. They were selling pastries and I was very pleased with what I got. It was flakey and fresh and the people working were very nice and friendly and wanted to ask me all sorts of questions about where I was from. They also have another location downtown but that store is smaller and not nearly as crowded as this one.
I have yet to figure out why everyone thinks that this place has the best ice cream on earth. Is it because they claim to make it in a French pot? This truly baffles me. The flavors are just ok and it costs and arm and a leg for a tiny cup of ice cream. They say the cost is because they make it in small batches, but that sounds a little silly. In the summertime, people line up for miles for this stuff. A friend of mine and I call ourselves Graeters Haters. There is better ice cream at the grocery store or at baskin robbins.
This place is right by the Dayton Mall which means there is tons of parking! They have the best chicken vegetable soup and I highly recommend getting it in a bread bowl. The items in their bakery are also decent, but I got a brownie here one time and it left a little to be desired because it was not very chocolately. Now that people know that this place is open, it seems to be getting more crowded. It is also a nice place to get coffee and meet a friend. The atmosphere is great and they play classical music.
I guess if you like the not-so-great and sugar loaded taste of entenmanns products then this is a good place to come. You can get the same box of chocolate covered donuts for half of the price that you would pay at the store. There are usually a lot of people here, but do not be fooled, nothing here is freshly prepared. They also sell cakes and cookies and some of those little individual pies. If you are at all into healthy eating, I would advise against visitng this place.
This is one of my favorite salons in St. Louis. It has only been in town about 5 years or so, but everyone seems to know about it. When you are booking your appointment you have the option of picking a stylist based on their experience - which also determines the price. So if you are willing to let someone a little greener cut your hair, you can really save yourself some money. This place has tons of parking and is near Target.
PROS: good prices
This is a local salon that has been in business for a while. I once got a haircut here and it was ok. Just ok. Nothing to write home about. It's not a fancy place, so if that is what you are looking for, you should probably look for something more upscale. This place is also on a main road in a major town shopping area with limited parking. So if you are not into fighting for a parking spot, make an early appointment or have someone drop you off.
CONS: limited parking
