As candy stores go they sell what you'd expect but it's not the high quality that you'd expect for the prices they charge. They don't have any of the higher end chocolates and the bare minimum of imported candies. I had a bad experience, too, when I made the mistake of ordering some chocolate from them once and when I got it home some were melted( not my fault as home was just around the corner ) and I called up immediately to see if they'd fix the problem but they refused and were rude, so beware if you expect good professional customer service! I hesitated to post this, but that is what this forum is for , the good and the bad.
Bart and Greg's has been in business for many years in Brunswick, and there's a reason why they're still here when the big chains have gone out of business- their selection and service is above the rest. They offer many foreign and specialized category DVDs that nobody else does. If you like science fiction, classics, documentaries, british comedy or film noir they've got it.They rent many games, too. The staff are helpful and know about cinema. They'll reserve new movies for you and have late hours. Check them out, in the lower level of the Tontine Mall on Maine Street.
A real find for local foodies. This is gourmet pizza with specials that push the envelope.Freshly made dough, sauces and they source the toppings for as much seasonally fresh products as are available. The bakers are friendly and it has a good vibe, inviting, with a hip style. There may be a wait, but it's top notch pizza. A fun place to bring the parents or a date; it's small inside and in the summer months they have a few seats on the sidewalk. A cut above all of the other pizza shops in Brunswick for sure.A little pricey and the sizes tend to be extra large.
The best thing about this store is the selection of wines! Best wine choices I've seen , with alot of interesting wines that I want to try .We had a Rioja the other night that was even better than the owner had described and I have never seen it anyplace else. They have a variety of cool wines from all over and we like to treat ourselves ( and sometimes we even share some with friends! ) with something new on the weekends.
We go there often and have never been disappointed. The owners are also quite wine saavy and helpful .They have free wine tastings too.
If you like chocolate...yes, they have the good stuff!! Cheese and imported beer, too. We think it's a great place and send people there all the time.
