Rainbow Pizza
I've been eating at Rainbow Pizza for more than ten years. Great pizza (greek style, thick and tasty) but their Greet Salad is fantastic (the large is more food than any two people can eat).
Steve (the owner) runs a wonderful restaurant--and makes the best pizza in San Mateo.
PROS: Great pizza and salads

C & T Automotive Toyota Specialists
C&T is a wonderful local Toyota mechanic. Chris (the owner) is very straightforward about exactly what should be done to your car and he would never 'fix' anything on my car that he would not 'fix' on his own.
C&T helped me drive my '92 Camry past 250,000 miles.
PROS: Does just the right amount of work--for the right price.
CONS: No big dealer amenities (no loaners, no comfy waiting room).
