This was a favorite hang out spot of mine because it was right up the street from my house. This theater is great because it now only shows great independent films, but it also shows some of the better mainstream movies.
PROS: Great movie selection
CONS: Not enough showings
Marco Polo Italian Ice Cream
It's a great place to get Gelato in the Sunset district of San Francisco. In fact, it's one of the few great Gelato shops I know of in San Francisco. Although they don't have that great of a variety, they flavors they do have are delicious.
PROS: Excellent gelato
CONS: Not that big of a variety
Pacific Supermarket
This is another Asian supermakert in San Francisco, but I prefer this one over the Sunset Supers and Richmond's May Wah. Not only this is market bigger, but it is cleaner. They have everything you need at a great price. They even have extremely cheap ready to eat food and drinks.
PROS: Has everything at a great price.
CONS: So big, you won't finish walking through the whole thing.
Fashion Pulse
This is a little clothing shop on Clement Street, in the Inner Richmond District of San Francisco owned by the sweetest Chinese woman, Mrs. Chan. Often she works there with her little dog, Bebe, the sweetest little dog ever. She has really cute clothes there that is hard to find elsewhere.
PROS: Cute clothes, cute owner, cute dog.
CONS: Hard to find parking.
Paper Source
I discovered this place when I worked on Fillmore Street. I used to pass it everyday and I always wanted to go in and check it out. When I finally did, it was everything I expected; it was the cutest little arts and crafts store with the cutest wrapping paper.
PROS: The best variety of wrapping paper.
CONS: It's hard to find parking in the Fillmore district.
Sunset II Supermarket
The Sunset Supermarkets are serving the needs of the Asian community of San Francisco in the Sunset and Richmond district. Instead of hauling all the way out to Chinatown to buy their meats and groceries, they can just go to one of the two locations in the Sunset.
PROS: Very convenient spots.
CONS: Gets very crowded in there
Hobby Co. Of San Francisco
No matter what kind of project you are set out to doing, The Hobby Company, also known as HobbyCo to many locals, is the place to find all your tools and gadgets. They have things from beads, to foam balls, to model planes, to ribbon.
PROS: A plethora of arts and crafts needs.
CONS: Hard to find parking.
FTC Skate Boarding
This is the place to go to if you skate, and you want to look good while skateboarding. Not only is it teeming with exquisite skateboarding styled clothing, they also sell skateboards that come with some of the most amazing art-work.
PROS: Great, artistic skateboards.
CONS: They are expensive.
True Womens
Among all the shops of Haight Street in San Francisco, this store stands out for it's stylish urban wear. Anyone that shops here will be noticed because all the clothes are so unique.
PROS: Really nice clothes.
CONS: Really expensive.
