Utowa Flower Gallery

I originally found Utowa because i was trying to track down some clothing by Vivienne Westwood. I was in total shock that i have been living in NYC for years and had never seen this small wonder.
They stock more than Westwood: they have a selection of both mens and womens clothing by some very amazing designers. I had not heard all the names, which to me is a positive. The scarf i bought has been the envy of all my friends and the coat i am going back for has been on my mind non-stop.
The staff is friendly but also knows when to just let you shop. That balance of helpful/respectful is so hard to find and to me is a sign of a great store.
The floral department was so exciting! mixing colors and textures that you don't see in your average floral boutique.
Overall the shop was just amazing. The prices were not cheap but I didn't feel they were too high. (a problem i often have when I shop in places that carry basics by the big names.) The selection was stylish, modern, well-editted. The atmosphere was awesome. they could drop some of the store displays off at the Guggenheim.
Go in and become a true Utowa fan!

PROS: well-editted, stylish, new designers. kind of a secret!!!
CONS: They won't stay a secret forever.
