Merryfield Kennels

We boarded our dog at the kennel for a week, during the week we called to check on our pet and were told he was doing great. When we picked him up at the end of the week he had lost more than 30% of his body weight, was listless, and feverish. None of the package food we brought for them to feed our dog was opened and only 1/4 of the dry food was gone. When we got home that night we had to go to an emergency room where our dog was diagnosed with double pneumonia, dehydration and severe weight loss. Even though there is a Vet in an adjoining building, which is one of their selling points, our dog was never seen, who's watching your pet? Apparently not anyone at Merryfield. Luckily our dog didn't die, due to several months of nursing him back to health. Merryfield feels they aren't responsible because of a waiver they have you sign. Beware of bringing your pet to this establishment he/she may not come home alive.
