I walked into this store on Saturday night, Feb 17th at around 8:30 - 9:00 pm. In the car were my 3 teenage children. I went in to grab 4 packs of cigarettes - 2 for myself and 2 for my husband. After going to the counter and asking for the cogarettes the clerk, JACOB, turned to the person behind me and asked them for their ID. I turned around in confusion as to why the clerk would be asking anyone other than myself for ID, and the person he was talking to was my teenage son who is 15 and doesnt have anything but a school ID. I did not notice that he had walked in and found out later from him that he merely was needing to go to the mens bathroom and was going to ask the clerk where it was but was waiting for my transaction to be completed cause that would have been rude.

After I turned back around I asked the clerk why he would need his ID. I also told the clerk, JACOB, that this person was my son and he is 15 . JACOB then decided to announce to the entire store, which was extremely crowded, that its against the law to purchase cigarettes for minors, as if thats what I was trying to do, and told me he would NOT sell any cigarettes to me until my son produced an ID. This really upset me because 1. THIS IS MY SON and I dont make it a habit of providing cigarettes to anyone except myself and my husband , who is also old enough to buy them. 2. This clerk had NO REASON to accuse me of such a thing and then forced me to leave the store. This was extremely humiliating and unprofessional behavior on the part of the store clerk, JACOB.

Bottom line - dont go to this store if you smoke because unless you walk in ALONE they wont sell you cigarettes, which are legal in this country , and might defame your character as they did mine for NO REASON.

Have the laws changed? Are children not allowed in public places anymore? I didnt see any sign in the front of the store. This behavior is RIDICULOUS and should be repremanded.

I encourage everyone who reads this to never spend their hard earned money at this particular store again. I have tried calling the mgmt and still have not received a call back from anyone as of yet.
