Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant
Guadalajara is a must for everyone at least once whether it be for cocktails, a quick snack or lunch, or just a night out for dinner. The bright yellow exterior is very eye-catching and makes it almost impossible for anyone not to wonder what they have to offer. From the moment you walk in the fresh smell of authentic Mexican food fills your nose. The fajitas, guacamole, and margaritas are amazing. I have fallen so in love with this restaurant that I find myself there at least twice a month. If you like margaritas i would definitely recommend the frozen Pomegranate margarita. However beware these margaritas are potent. Also be sure to have the homemade guacamole which is made right in front of you with your choice of ingredients so you control the spiciness. The portion sizes are a little big on some dishes but all of them are filling and delicious. Trust me I've tried just about everything on the menu. And be sure to leave room for dessert. The dessert menu has several great choices although my favorite is the fried Ice cream. The presentation is amazing and looks like a fire show. This restaurant is a MUST try and I recommend it to everyone..Oh and I almost forgot on the weekends there is a mariachi band that goes up to the tables to serenade you while you eat.. Enjoy!!
Village Day Spa
Let me begin my stating I am an avid Spa goer and have tried Spa's all over the world. I recently moved to the area and was given a gift certificate by a good friend of mine who has been a frequent client at Village Day Spa for about 5 years. After moving and getting my house all situated I can assure you I was in dire need of stress relief. Although it was tough to get an appointment for the same day or the weekend the front desk was very helpful and accommodating and made several suggestions as to what services I would benefit from. Lucky I was able to be accommodated for the same day (it was a Friday afternoon). I had a little difficulty finding the Spa for it is a bit hidden from the main road but I soon found my way.Upon entering the spa I was greeted, in unison, by two very pleasant girls and instantly felt relaxed by the atmosphere. When you walk through the door you can instantly smell the calming yet not overbearing scent of aromatherapy and are soothed by the water fountain. I was escorted into a quaint waiting area which offered cold water, cookies and an assortment of teas. Within 5 minutes of my arrival I was escorted to a locker room where I was given slippers and a robe to change into, since i was having multiple services, and was told that when i was ready my therapist would come and get me from the waiting area. I received a basic facial and their Signature massage. I was definitely impressed. You must all try the Signature massage which is customized and incorporates, Hot Stone therapy, Swedish and Deep Tissue Techniques. The facial was also very good and thorough although it was a little bit noisy. Overall my experience was extremely pleasant and I would definitely recommend it as well as visit again. My only suggestion would be to arrive early because parking is limited and the services do begin on time..Ciao and enjoy!!
