Spreen Robert W DDS PS
I've been visiting Dr. Spreen for half my life, and have always been impressed with his consistent & capable staff. I've had the good fortune to avoid any major dental procedures thus far, so I spend most of my time with the hygienists, who have been there for 10+ years. Still, I can highly recommend Spreen's skills, because my dad pretty much owes the continued existence of his teeth to this man. I'm happy to drive all the way to Redmond from West Seattle, and even pay out-of-pocket, because after 17 years, Dr. Spreen's office knows me so well.
Tamarind Tree
With countless variations that all deserve exploration, it could take you at least 5 meals before you really get to know the Tamarind Tree's extensive menu. I was impressed with the presentation of each dish, and the unique sauces that accompany them. Their great service, large portions, and reasonable prices make this an excellent bet for dining with friends on a budget.
Specialty's Cafe & Bakery
While I worked in the ID last year, I didn't get to explore all the great Asian food, because Specialty's just kept calling my name. For something like $6 I could get the most delicious turkey sandwich on NON-WIMPY bread, in under 5 minutes during peak lunch hour. I have never waited more than 10 minutes for anything there, and the staff was always cheerful.
