I am impressed with what this shelter has done to educate the public on the plight of animals. They have a new facility that is a dream come true for unwanted animals. They have the luxury of being a no kill shelter, which is not the reality for others in the city. They are a great shelter to model. Good people doing good things.
Whenever you think the fee is too much too adopt, think again. The cost of private vet care far exceeds the cost that the shelters charge for care, spay/neuter, and to vaccinate/immunize. Potential adopters need to be able to provide adequate housing, food, and vet care. If you think $200 is too much now, you won't want to pay a full vet bill in the future.
