But now MERCY has changed me into a TRUE believer! Being a resident in between either Mercy or MVH I had ALWAYS chosen MVH for every need our family once had.
EXCEPT - until I resigned from my county job and stopped receiving Anthem insurance & I started to see a NEW Endocrinologist @ Mercy Medical Center. For years - the Endocrinologist @ the valley had been putting me through MORE and MORE testing and assigning me to TAKE more and MORE MEDICINE for Grave's Disease. So for the first month or two I remained in sequence and saw both doctors while the one here @ Mercy is telling me that I am in Remission the other one @ the Valley is still saying I am hypo-thyroid and levels are erratic!!
For me to begin seen twice now by a new experienced endocrinologist @ Mercy & to be told that I'm in remission. (?)
You will be treated like u r a number and U will be a number!!!!!
This hospital has become the worst hospital in the Miami Valley Region!! This is including Springfield!
Don't be astonished. No one person deserves to be treated like one more number!!
(Just know that it may be in Beavercreek - but definitely not up to PAR!)
My grandmother was recently released from MVH, after having a surgery in April 07' however finally being released to their "skilled" 24 hour nursing center here in July 2007. Nearly two weeks into this unstable stay we were evacuated by ambulance back to MVH. She now had developed a STAPH infection - and a few other new issues.
We were told not only by MVH case managers but also by the administrators of this facility that they were able to MAINTAIN - TPN & WOUND CARE - That they were specialists!! (Rehab too!)
Little do we find out after my grandmother was emergency evacuated out of here (w/blue legs, not breathing, STAPH!!) that they ARE NOT trained in TPN NOR WOUND CARE. NOT too mention now she has spent nearly ONE WHOLE week in ICU @ MVH trying to RE-cooperate!
SHAME ON THIS NURSING HOME.
It absolutely defeats the whole objective for sending us, initially!
