Joe's Automotive Repair
This is now "Joe's Automotive" and the service is terrible! Our neighbor highly recommended "Doug's" not knowing it had recently changed owners. We dropped the car off on Monday morning (check engine light, spongy brakes) and had NO communication from them by 10:00 Wed. They did not even return OUR call. Paid $109.99 for them to reset the check engine light and we still have spongy brakes. Owner refused to speak with us, receptionist was caught in several lies. Worst experience ever with automotive repair!!Concerning owners response: When we dropped of our vehicle the receptionist checked us in and NEVER mentioned any costs. We did tell her we were dropping off the vehicle (not waiting in the reception area) and she NEVER told us it would be Tuesday before the vehicle would be looked at. We had even called before we brought the vehicle in to see if it could be looked at that day and was told YES! WE were the ones who called many times to check on the vehicle only to be told it had not been looked at yet. NO ONE from the business EVER called us which is why we went back on Wednesday to pick up the vehicle. At this point we were still thinking on one had looked at it. Since the owner refused to speak to us when we arrived, I actually found out more about what he did to our vehicle in the response he made to this complaint. All we were told was "couldn't find any reason for the check engine light so it was reset and couldn't find anything wrong with the brakes." If the brakes were bled as he claims to have, why were they still spongy? That should have taken care of it! Still more lies...
