As to the burgers & fries, they are good but overpriced when you consider the surroundings. We paid $16.65 (including tax & tip) for our 2-person lunch. My wife did not get to enjoy her meal because of the lack of elbow room. The person next to her kept bumping into her!

They put way too much ice into the drinks. I had to keep asking for refills because there was hardly any liquid in the cup. On the plus side, the waitress did ask me if I wanted a lid after my last refill.

Lamb curry, Tandoori chicken, and Panaak Paneer is among the best I've ever tasted, anywhere!

Foster's Freeze

Being very hungry (had not eaten in nearly 24 hours), I ordered what I usually consume at nearby In N' Out consisting of 2 1/4 pound burgers with no cheese, no fries, and a 20 oz soda. At In N' Out you're talking $2.35 + 2.35 +1.29 = $6.00 pre-tax. For two "Old Fashioned" hamburgers (no cheese) at Foster Freeze, its $2.99 + 2.99 + 1.59 soda = 7.59 or over $8.00 with tax. Add an order of fries and you're talking nearly $10.00 for what the average Auburn construction worker needs for sustenance. Now don't get me wrong; this is premium junk food....but c'mon now!

Fortunately I had the coupon in the Auburn Sentinel: TWO Old Fashioned (1/4 lb) burgers for $2.99. With soda, the deal tops out at a respectable $5.02. Now that's more in line with my lunch budget!

Auburn Sentinel coupons rock.....avoid the big crowds at In N' Out, and get faster service AND comparable burgers, for less money (with coupon).

Clark Frame & Wheel Alignments

Best Alignment and Frame Repair shop in Placer County......they were first recommended to me by Applegate Garage (above Auburn, CA). Another referral came from Gary, the manager of Costco Tire Center in Citrus Heights. This shop specializes in body frame damage, and wheel alignment concerns. Make sure you call in advance for appointments, they seem to have a lot of happy customers. Clark Frame is on top of their game!

Marie Callendars makes an OK pie....which isn't saying much. You can buy frozen pie crusts and frozen fruit filling at Costco to make better pies.
