This is an old standby for stops on our travels. They are clean and friendly. When you buy gas it is usually in line with most other stations, but you don't have the usual wait. I like clean restrooms. This place has them. And you can get a snack for the road or eat at the Wendys inside.
This Cracker Barrel is easy to see from the Interstate, but not necessarily easy on and off. Once you get there, however, you can get a good meal or stretch you legs while you shop. We like some of the unique items you can purchase for reasonable prices and the meals or like home cooking. Don't forget to give the puzzle games on the table a try or challenge someone to some checkers. If you'd rather, you could sit on the porch and rock for a spell.
"It's Old Navy!" That's what you hear from my teenage daughter when passing by any Old Navy store. This one is no exception. She loves to shop here and will undoubtedly find a bargain when she does. Not my kind of store but they do tend to cater to the teens...so there you go. Clean and well staffed.
PJ's is the best BBQ place in town. They have some really tender meat and the sauce is great. The beans and potato salad round out what can be a great meal.
This Post Office is a very busy center. They are located on Bluecutt and it seems almost everyone must use them. They do try to keep the process of waiting short. They do have ample parking and the mailmen are usually polite and helpful. We, recently, had to order a passport for travel purposes and they were very helpful and pleasant throughout the process. They answered all of our questions promptly and informatively. I like the easy way of just dropping off the mail in the outside box without the hassle of getting out of the car and having to go inside. These receptacles are right out front and make it easy to flow back into traffic.
Jubilations cheesecake is so well known in this area that you are definitely new to this area if you have never heard of it. This is no joke and no stretch of the imagination...this IS the best cheesecake you will ever taste. It was created by a local lady, Tammy Craddock, in her kitchen in 1983 and has grown into a major company today, still creating this mouthful of heavenly dessert by hand in her factory here in Columbus. There are 60 varieties and you can order it online to be delivered to your door or order as a gift if you want a friend for life. I have never had a bad taste of this cheesecake and every time I give one to my family or friends then I am flooded with thank you. It is truly awesome. Online site is www.jubilations.com Jubilations are shipped all over the country by ups. It is well worth the price for a taste of heaven.
This cleaners is not too far from the Hwy82 bypass and across from the Columbus Country Club. Parking is usually not a problem, though, it can take a while if the drive thru is busy. Not the friendliest but they do the job.
This cleaners is on the north side of town on Hwy 45. Easily accessed it has limited parking. However, they are quite reliable and efficient in service. Price is right.
Whenever I am in the area, I tune into KTBS. I always can trust that I will be getting the most up to date broadcasts there is. This is an old stand by from years ago and though some of the faces have changed, the quality of reporting seems to have remained the same. They are a reliable source for the news whether it is local, national or world.
This theater is great. They have stadium seating and wide variety of movies to choose from. As for the concessions, well, like any movie place, you will pay. Nice and clean, though, and the staff was pleasant.
