This is a good place to get a meal. Like a fast food meal but with a touch of something different. For example...most people think of hamburgers when you mention fast food, but this place has more than hamburger. They have basket meals...like chicken strips or steak fingers, or shrimp. They, also, have hot dogs. Of course, they are famous for the DQ Blizzards...ice cream with all kinds of things added by your choice, of course. And the prices are right for the family budget.
Sonic is one of those places where you don't have to be all dressed up to go. If out and about stop in for a treat. Or take the family for a different kind of dining experience. Order from your car and eat in your car. The servers here are generally nice. I think sometimes they are a little slow to serve though. However, it is a great place to take the kids for a little afternoon snack or just to see them smile. No matter why you drive in you will find a decent price on a fairly decent meal.
This hospice is truly unique. They offer a wide range of services to the patient and for the family, as well. Everything from the nurse, chaplain, aides, social worker, volunteers and music therapists. A wonderful team is formed that coordinates such an awesome service that you know it must be heaven sent. These halos are straight and provide a ministry for the body, mind, and soul. The information you need is there and if they don't have it they will find it. The encouragement you need is there...by usually more than one member at a time. The comforting is there before you realized you even needed it. This hospice team offers a #1 service of compassion for their patient but, also, for the family. They know you by name. They are not only there to serve you, they are there to care for you. You do become family. Maybe not all employees are like this at hospice, but I can tell you that we were very blessed because of this service. God Bless each of them and may you be so blessed. Highly, Highly, Highly, Highly recommend! Wholeheartedly!
This truck stop has a great location. Just off I-20 on Wells road coming into West Monroe from Ruston. Usually great on gas prices, and always good for a snack and drink. We don't usually choose to eat meals here, though, they offer Wendy's and Subway. Our usual is to fill up the car and make a restroom stop. However, with gas prices soaring, we have had to pay before we pump and this is most inconvenient as there is usually a crowd trying to pre-pay and a crowd trying to buy store goods. Most aggravating. Not only is it hard to just fill up and go, but the restrooms have not been up to par the past few stops, so for this traveling crew, we will forego this stop till some time in the future.
This truck stop has all you need for a pit stop while traveling. They have coffee, the regular snacks and drinks, souvenirs and restrooms. They, also, have the gas you need to fill your engine. Usually, you will find a nice lady who makes sure that you are a satisfied customer before you leave. But on recent visits that has not been the case. And worst of all, since the prices of gasoline have begun to rise, they make you pay before you pump. This aggravates me because I like to fill-er-up and it is hard to know just how much it might take to accomplish that. I understand after dark and things might be a little hectic but not when you are the only vehicle in the parking lot and it is broad daylight...give me a break! I have decided that they don't want my business, so I don't give them my money. I use to make this a regular stop...but no longer. Sad, too, cause I really did like this place...well maybe in the future I will give them another try.
This is one of my daughters favorite stops. She loves shopping and could just browse this place for hours. They have not only fishing and camping gear, but some novelty items and clothing. If unsure what to buy for that special person you could purchase a gift card and let them enjoy shopping for themselves. Personally, I think some of the prices are a little much but if you like outdoors and you like fishing and camping, then perhaps you will find something here just for you.
Everyday is a walmart day. When we travel or when we stay home, we always can count on walmart for those things we need or just plain forgot. This is one of those extra large supercenters so they have everything. It is nice to see such a nice selection of clothing and, of course, foods. We tend to take these for granted when we have them available always, but when you live in the country it is nice to see a larger variety of foods and produce; and different styles and colors (in your size) of clothing. Like i said...everyday is a walmart day....at home or on the road.
We stopped into the Louisiana Boardwalk a couple of times and have really enjoyed being there. It is lovely...right on the Red River off of I-20 . And there are so many stores and still more to come. There is something for everyone. A couple of good eateries and a theater to go to. Let the whole family just relax for a while on the Boardwalk.
This sonic could not be in a more convenient location than to be on N. Market heading out of the city. Perfect last stop for the day. We rarely pass on by. We can get that cool drink or shake or go ahead and have a meal. The service is great. The price is always easy on our pocketbook.
This specialty sandwich shop is tops. They are fast service and good location. The food is great and the price is right. If you are wanting something different from a burger on the go, then stop in at Schlotzskys. It is a great place to meet up with the friends for a quick lunch.
