Groomingdales

I wish I could give NO star's to this flaky place. I made a grooming appointment for my 14 yr. old. jack russell terrier and brought her to Groomingdales last Saturday. When making the appt., I let the owner know that I wanted to get her in and out quickly due to her age. When I got there with my dog on Sat, he told me that he was having a "crazy" day and to bring my dog back on Monday if I wanted a faster appt.. No problem--I returned on Mon. to find a sign on the door "Closed due to Illness". Still no problem even though I hadn't received the courtesy of a phone call letting me know not to come. I called on Tues to reschedule and was told to come in on Thurs between 9:30 and 10AM. I arrived with my dog at 9:40 and was told (by the owner--- same person I have been dealing with all along) that I was late and they wouldn't finish her until 12:30. When I reminded him that I wanted a quick in-and-out, he told me to come back in 20 min. and he could have her out by 11:30. I left w/ my dog and received a call from him telling me that he didn't want to groom my dog because she was overweight and should be groomed by a vet. OK, she is overweight for her size, BUT HE HAD SEEN HER ON SATURDAY WHEN I CAME IN WITH HER... WHY WASTE MY TIME FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK? I was surprised (and embarrassed) by the call and asked him if he could at least cut her nails. He said NO! This guy just didn't want to be rushed or bothered with my dog. I have 4 jack russell's and have been to many groomers... I have never had such a flaky experience. My advise is not to waste your time!
