I cannot say enough about St. James Christian Preschool. One of my daughters and my son have attended this preschool (my son is in 3K) and we have been completely pleased! Leah is a wonderful director who truly has the children's best interest at heart. My children's teachers were truly teachers and helped prepare my daughter for FAAM. I would highly recommend St. James Christian Preschool.
Don't let the size of the church keep you away. If you do, you'll miss the wonderful blessings of FBC. After moving here 4 years ago we looked and looked for a new church home. We visited FBC about 6 months into our search and we loved it after the first Sunday. Even though it's a large church, you can find your niche and belong! In addition to the most sincere and insightful pastor, Jay Wolf, the preschool and children ministries are exceptional and we'd love to have you visit! :)
I want to review the appliance sales division of AL Power. The prices are very competitive -- they will price-match. Something else that is nice -- you can make payments on your power bill.
I enjoy shopping at Lasting Impressions, not only because they have neat gift items, but I really like getting ideas when I go in there. They have neat home decor items and are very friendly and helpful.
The Velvet Pumpkin is a cute shop that has a variety of gift items. It has fun gift items, baby gift items, and Vera Bradley bags. I enjoy shopping here when I need a quick gift idea.
If you don't have time to stop by the cleaners, let them come to you! The Dry Cleaning Express is a family owned business and he is genuinely interested in making his customers happy. He schedules on a route (my days are Tuesday and Friday) and he sends a van out to pick up your clothes. He has them back to you the next day on your route. OR you can pick them up at his store the next day. He offers same-day service as well. How easy is that! Rest assured he will do a great job and take care of your clothing items!
Obviously, we didn't have a choice on who we used for power when we moved, but, I will say that Dixie has been fine. A positive experience I've had is during Hurricane Ivan. Half of our neighborhood is AL Power and the other half is Dixie Electric. Dixie had our power back on quite a bit sooner than AL Power. I guess that says something about using a co-op?
I have had Leon Loard do two oil paintings for me and I have to say, they turned out beautiful. My first oil was done 2 years ago and it was near perfect. I just had my 2nd oil done and it wasn't so great. BUT, they worked with me until they got it right. In fact, the artist completely redid my oil and the redo looked fantastic. They are very expensive, but are very much worth it. They are actually located in Old Cloverdale and currently have a satellite studio off of Vaughn Road, however, I have heard they will be closing that studio when the lease is up.
I have used this Kinkos on several occasions and each time the workers have been helpful -- especially when a copier doesn't "cooperate". I have never had to wait for copying which is great since I'm usually in a hurry. It's nice to have copiers available and so convenient.
We use Dr. Trumbull in this practice and I cannot say enough about him. He is a strong Christian man and you see this when you visit him. He gives wise, Godly advice and I appreciate that tremendously. He is thorough and is wonderful with my children. They adore him. Aside from the wait we experience when we get there (but what doctor doesn't have a wait?), we have always had a positive experience.
