The Millennium hotel is my favorite pick for putting up out of town guests. Their rooms are newly decorated with a fun, modern twist. The downtown location is great and the rates are surprisingly affordable. If you are planning a wedding or event then don't forget to talk to Marty in event sales. He is a charmer! The attention to detail is right on. Both the food and service are better than one would expect from a hotel. I had the most tender fillet I have ever tasted there recently. Mouth Watering!
I love the Curves in Hyde Park. This is the third Curves I have been a member of and by far the best. They greet me by name every time I walk in, Manager Sydney is delightful, funny, and knowledgeable. They are great at getting involved in the community with fitness walks and fundraisers and such. The recent "Member Appreciation Bags" were full of great goodies. the workout is quick, streamlines, and effective. For $35 bucks a month you just can't beat it.
Maribelle's definitely has the art of the Wedding Cake down to a science. Although they are one of the most expensive cake places in the city, you get what you pay for in this case. Their designs are lovely, their cakes moist, and people will be talking about them.
I recently took my car to this location because the AC wasn't blowing cold. After paying $29 for a diagnostic, they told me that I needed a refrigerant recharge and the total cost would be $99. I told them to proceed. They called me an hour later and said that they had added the refrigerant but when they turned it on they found that the compressor was locked up and it would cost nearly $900 to replace it. I picked my car up and they charged me the $99 for adding the refrigerant. When I took the car for a second opinion I was informed that it is impossible to add refrigerant to an AC unit if the compressor is locked up. I have triple checked this and it is correct. They charged me $99 for doing something they could not have physically done.
The Cincinnati Art Museum is the place to go for fun, free culture in a fabulous location. Located near Eden Park the grounds are almost an exhibit themselves. Enjoy a scrumptious lunch in the cafe, browse the eclectic offerings in the gift shop, or take a walk down to Krohn Conservatory. You could make an entire day of delight out of this place. Bonus: There isn't a more beautiful setting for an indoor wedding in town.
