Baton Rouge
This is a wonderful and romantic spot on SugarHill, and a true find, thanks to newnewyorker*com I was seated upstairs in this brownstone on the 2nd floor in the red room and it took me back to many years ago in a New Orleans spot where I fell in love. The food is delicious and made perfectly. Its just wonderful to have these old time places back here in NYC. The blues that were sung there were chilling.
ANC ASIAN HOME
I love this store they always have the perfect thing for what I need for example I wanted something really pretty to store magazines in, so I found a cabinet there with alot of desing for not alot of money and it looks great in my hallway and no one would guess it only has magazines in it. I also found an extra storage unit for my bedroom that is so different then my bedroom set that it draws attention right away and has been a big hit, and now my husband finally has a place for his clothes too. I found this place thru www.newnewyorker.com
Kitchens & Closets by Design
This guy Jorge came thru for me unbeleivably. I was under alot of pressure with my move and closing and while I was at the closing he installed the complete closet and when the movers came later that same day I was able to unpack immediately. I learend of this from newnewyorker.com and I am very thankful. I will use this company for all my closets and when I can do a kitchen , he's the man. His prices were more than fair.

I was having alot of trouble finding really cute and different children shoes and at affordable prices. www.newnewyorker.com mentioned this shop and it was worth the trip up to Lenox Ave for the kids. I left with 8 pairs of shoes, had no problems parking and plan to go back for boots before it snows...

I've been to all of them now,,, I totally love the one on Second Ave and about 78th Street. The place is alot of fun and so alive, I brought some out of town guests and they felt it was so NEW YORK, just a great scene with great food and loads of trnedy people too. I discovered it from www.newnewyorker.com
THE LIGHT HOUSE
i stopped in for a minute and stayed 2 hours. They elped me with alot of my lighting needs and offered many suggestions too. I even bought some furniture wich they will deliver. I was told to go here from www.newnewyorker.com and promised it would not be a typical dirty smelly place on the Bowery. I was glad I listened, and the place was clean and not loaded with cat urine smells like so many other places down there.
Simon Hardware and bath
I never have seen such a store, with everyting and anything in it that one might need, of course its very costly, but worth every penny. I was sent here by www.newnewyorker.com so that as a newcomer to the city I could investigate ideas for my new bathroom. The staff was more than helpful too. I am totally addicted now to this shop.

This is a very plain kind of looking place, but the food is great and really old southern comfort food. I never would have gone if not for www.newnewyorker.com now I take friend's up there too. I am even planning a surprise party for friends. The food is really good, I say "watch out Sylvia's" The ribs are to kill for.
Cafe Deluxe
this is a nice place to hang out and not be rushed. Always great for a salad or mac and cheese or a burger. I was up in that area so of course www.newnewyorker.com mentioned this as a cheap eat but high quality.. go for it.
Cafe Buon Gusto
this is a really nice spot to dine and hide and no one will find you, especially if you eat in the outdoor patio in the way, way back of the place. its actually charming, the food was excellent, the service was nice, the bill was reasonable. i loved my salmon. thanks again for this find to www.newnewyorker.com
