Late last year I was whispering to my four-year-old son when he turned his head and said, "Mom, that is my bad ear, talk into my good ear." Obviously, we were upset and we were referred a testing facility that kept losing our paperwork and told me that a supervisor needed to look at the testing needed in order to make an appointment. After a frustrating week, I called our pediatric group back and asked for someone else. We are so glad that the someone else was Dr. Bianchi and his group of audiologists.
We were heartbroken to learn that our son has nerve deafness in his right ear, but grateful that he had perfect hearing in the other. At one point when we were playing phone tag with Dr. Bianchi, he left us his cell number and he encouraged us to get a second opinion (with the egos in the medical profession, this was refreshing). We had further testing done and Dr. Bianchi's diagnoses was the right one. We have been back for a six month check and feel comfortable and confident with the staff.
