Austin Sandblasting

I contracted this company to sandblast and prep my house as well as paint it. They represented that they could do it all. The reality is that they are not capable, including sandblasting. See below.

1) Sand blasting has taken an inordinate time to complete, with large time frames spent on other jobs w/clean-up always pending. Not experienced on appropriate sandblasting for different surfaces, ie., wood, wood siding, concrete, and grout. Much damage caused.
2) Carpentry work is sub standard and does not meet expectations of a quality job.
a. Imprecise cuts.
b. Use of old materials.
c. Too much patch work.
3) Paint prep work is substandard and does not meet expectations of a quality job.
a. No masking procedure.
b. Inadequate caulking, puttying and sanding.
c. Not waiting for materials to cure before application of primer.
d. Applying primer before all prep is done.
e. Inordinate time periods to complete work mostly due to not working full days
4) Materials (primer) used are not appropriate for the application.
5) Clean-up, such as debris and especially the pool was not completed as requested.
6) No preparation was made to minimize the impact of construction on plants, shrubs, yard furniture, roof, general yard environment, even the interior of the garage that was completely inundated with sand, dust, and debris on my personal vehicle and items.
7) No basic project coordination as a result four (4) disciplines (sandblasting, carpentry, paint prep and the painting) of work going on at the same time causing multiple passes, disruption, and incorrect work application for each discipline adding to cost.
8) As a result of the above, damage has been rendered to my home.

This company left the job without closure and left a complete mess.
