Rix is far and away the best place in Morristown to get just about any kind of printing done. I used to have to drive to Knoxville to get things done at Kinkos - the service at the chains in Morristown such as Office Max and the UPS Store left a little bit to be desired and the local printers I tried all had offices that reeked of cigarette smoke. Rix does everything that Kinko's does - but faster. I enjoy the convenience of e-mailing my print jobs so that I only have to make one trip. My daughter loves the wide open space and comfy chairs. What keeps us coming back more than anything though is the friendly service - I love businesses that always remember your name!
We used United Realty and agent Roger Greene to help us find our first home. We were a little nervous about the whole process, but everything went very smoothly. Roger was patient and answered all our questions, and never seemed to get tired of showing us a zillion different houses. We were very happy with the whole experience.
West End Lanes is a decent place to go if you are looking to bowl a few games. The staff is friendly and helpful. The decor could defintely use an update however. Bumper Bowling for kids consists of plastic landscaping drainage pipe placed in the gutters. Scoring is manual (no computers here) which I actually kind of like. Definitely more mentally stimulating. My number one complaint with the facility has always been the pervasive cigarette smoke. With the new state laws however this is probably a no longer an issue.
I love the sandwiches I get here. I have never once been disappointed with my food or the service. The owner even offered to deliver to me when my business was located across the street. The small dining area unfortunately is not the greatest. Its very cramped and smoking is allowed (although that may have changed with the new state laws - I have not been in since they went into affect.) If you want a great sandwich and do not plan to eat in - definitely give Time Out a try!
There is something about this restaurant that my 3 year old daughter just loves. Every time we go to Rix Copies next door, she begs to eat at the "sub place." They have a very large selection of subs and sandwiches at reasonable prices - my favorite is the plain old ham and swiss. The sweet tea is excellent. There are plenty of tables to allow for just about any size group, as well as a couple of TV's tuned to sports and news channels. We have only been during lunch hours, but they also have a small stage set up for bands and singers to perform on certain nights of the week.
My only small complaint - I think they could use a little better ventilation from the kitchen area. Whenever we leave, the smell on our clothes hangs around the rest of the day and leaves no doubt where we ate.
Overall though we definitely recommend Original Subs.
I have been renting with Enterprise exclusively for the past 3 years. I have found their customer service at every branch I have used across the US to be top notch. The Morristown Branch is no different. The staff is very friendly and goes out of their way to make the rental experience as easy and pain free as possible. There is never any pressure or under-handed tactics to get you to buy their insurance, which I get quite often with other companies. The only reason I give the Morristown branch only 4 stars instead of 5 is due to their size. This is a tiny branch that is obviously not connected to a major airport. Therefore, the selection of cars is fairly small, and they sometimes have difficulty providing the car you reserve. While they have always given me a free upgrade when this happens, the upgrade vehicle will sometimes be a gas hog compared the the desired vehicle. Again, to their credit, they have given me a free tank of gas to offset the cost before. Overall, I highly recommend using the local Enterprise office!
I called all over Morristown trying to find a place to press a shirt for me the same day. Most places told me in a rude or frustrated manner that I had passed their cut-off time for same day service (I was calling before 10:00 a.m.) Village was willing to take my shirt and had it done for me within 2 hours of when I dropped it off (and they removed the dog hairs the shirt picked up in my car.) I was shocked at how little my bill was. Parking is just a wee bit difficult as the lot is tiny and very close to the road. I was very happy with the service and will definitely use them again.
I went to see Gary and Donna Cox while my wife was in a job transition and we needed help with health insurance. The information they presented me was thorough and extremely helpful and the environment was refreshingly low pressure. I highly recommend their services!
