Weissgerber's is hands down my favorite fish fry in Wisconsin.
It's served Family style and it's all you care to eat.
The cod is lightly breaded w/out any trace of grease.
The fish fry is serves with bowls of potato salad and cole slaw, potato pancakes or french fries. Yum Yum Yum. The bar has an excellent selection of German Beers.
The main dining room is beautiful with German fixtures, stained glass and art that makes the ambiance very pleasing. This place is great for the whole family.
I love just about everything made at Aggies.
Their hot ham and freshly made warm rolls on Sunday are wonderful.
Their assorted sweet dumpling pastries are also a favorite among myself and whole family.
My whole family loves to eat at Botanas.
Their newly remodeled outdoor area really opens up the outside area.
Their mexican food is easily one of the best around.
Their service is outstanding.
Svens has been a nice addition to the Bay View area. They offer tasty sandwiches and salads and deserts as well as coffee/tea and other beverages. Free Wifi and computers set up to use as well.
I like stopping in here for lunch, coffee, tea or freshly squeezed juice (carrot, beat w/ ginger is my favorite). It's laid back with a decent jute box. They normally have local artist's work on display. It's a small local business worth supporting.
This famous ice cream cone has people of all ages lines up in the summer time 20 people deep. It's hard not to stop at Belts once when visiting Stevens Point. They make some other excellent deserts as well.
Bruisers is a fun place to catch small town night life. They have a double level dance floor upstairs and various booths and pool table downstairs. It gets pretty crowded on Friday and Saturday nights. A lot of fun.
A 1/2 decent golf course. The front 9 offers par 4's and 5's with a lot of scenery - water, trees, woody. the back nine is 9 holes packed together pretty much right on top of each other. So if your going make sure you do the front nine - very challenging.
This is the first bar I ever went to that is broken into two completely opposite clubs. One side has strobe lights, a dance floor and cracks techno music - the other side is devoted to heavy metal, pool tables and darts. You go into the other room and it's like your at a completely different place, and it's kind of weird. The place to go on a Friday or Saturday night for wall to wall people, a weird mix of people as well. Lots of TV's and drink specials. But Fun!
