We had a 4-month remodel/addition of our kitchen + attic space. Jeff Seyles was our plumber and he is always welcome at our place. Friendly (and funny!) guy who was extremely professional and helpful. These guys were hired as subs of our GC but we would recommend him anytime!
My high-school aged son is very active in sports yet he has some of the flattest feet I've seen. We're of asian-decent and his pediatrician told us that to alleviate the foot soreness, custom insoles will likely help. We went here to Pace Setter to check it out. They not only sell custom-insoles (kinda pricey) but also some regular ones -- as well as a lot of athletic gear, especially for runners. We opted for the non-custom ones which do indeed help. Helpful employees.
this is a little mexican restaurant that has authentic family cooking taste. feels like you're in mexico. very good chips, salsa, and refried beans. Look for coupons in the Family Values Magazine for $5 off.
This trophy shop in Sellwood is close in and convenient. You'll get a trophy, and mine have been on time both times. But! The showroom is filthy and packed full of boxes and who knows what else. The owner is pleasant but you can tell he is the one smoking in the store. Friendly and can keep chatting for a while if you let him. He has been supplying trophies to North Clackamas sports teams for many years. He will work with you to get what you want (if he has it).
We live in a suburb of Portland so there are a few trophy shops between me and Bardy. It's worth it to drive to Bardy (near Nike Factory Outlet on MLK). Very professional and flexible. They turnaround fast -- about a week -- even during the busy times. Lots of product to choose from plus they have a nice showroom (and it's clean). Engraving is extra.
We have a GMC full-size pickup truck that was overheating. After doing some research online, we figured out it must be the water pump. Took the truck to Able Radiator (wanted to keep business as local as possible) and walked away a satisfied customer. Able Radiator repaired our truck in one day (replacing the water pump) plus did not charge us to flush the truck where every other place we called would've charged 40 bucks extra. I would recommend this place to my friends.
I went here 18 years ago. My son is a junior there now. Indicative of Milwaukie, there is so much pride and passion at the high school that many alumni return to be teachers. Many of my teachers are still there today! The sports programs have their strengths and weaknesses. Academics are strong if your kids puts the effort into the class selection. They have college prep program and CIM (certificate of inital mastery).
I love to browse thru nurseries. Typical nursery prices but they do have a nice selection of flowers, trees, shrubs + gardening items like soil, gloves, etc. They sell happy bamboo here too. Easy to find on Powell.
my grandmother loves to take me here and has for over 20 years. I love their chicken taco salad but she loves their jalapeno poppers. Salsa is okay but the chips are warm with just the right amount of salt sprinkled. Inside decor hasn't changed in all these years but it's suitable for the place. There is also a fireplace which adds to the ambiance. Lounge too.
We booked a business meeting for 2 full days. We actually got to meet in the executive board room which had beautiful dark wood cabinets and huge wood table. The room was a tad dark, with no windows but it still worked well for our purposes. The catering staff were helpful and had good suggestions of how to stay in budget. Tasty food also.
