Hoffman Animal Hospital
I have been going to Hoffman Animal Hospital for approx 13 years now. As I have adopted 4 Greyhounds from LGAP and presently have 3. I can not believe it has taken me this long to share with everyone how caring and devoted Dr. Norman & Staff truly are. I guess it takes an emergency - My 14yr. Ms. Angel came into the house in her normal joyful - playful self - she was not crying, or wimpering absolutly no indication that there was anything wrong until she opened her mouth and blood was everywhere. There was no way for me or my husband to stop the bleeding. We called the Director of LGAP (and she said get her to Hoffmans right away that she would call ahead and let them know we were coming in). 15 mins we arrived and they were there for us. Dr. Norman saw her immediately and gave us the news - she had somehow cut the roof of her mouth. Not much more could be done except keep pressure and let it clot. He said if we wanted we could go elsewhere but they would put her under and put in 1 or 2 stitches and charge alot to keep her ($95.00 to just walk thru the door) but we had got the bleeding to stop and felt confident in his diagnois. He had offered to do the same but advised that he would not be able to stay with her the night and monitor and would not feel comfortable. Anything with anestesia is done during the day for this purpose. Dr. Norman saw that all we wanted to do was be able to take my beloved Ms. Angel home - I would stay with her to be sure the bleeding did not occur again and if it did he had showed us exactly what to do.All this and because of his good heart / and his love of Greyhounds (he has had them as well). I walked out trying to clean up the blood drips from my Angel and the staff kept assuring us not to worry, they had it, We proceeded to get Angel settled and ready to leave and their kind words rang thru once again - She's going to be fine.We will be making a donation to the LGAP in their honor. To all you do there at Hoffman Animal Hospital for all of our 4 legged family members that rely on you THANK YOU - YOUR WARM HEARTS ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
