Terrible: terrible food, terrible service, extremely chincy with the ingredients, you can tell they are taking many cost-cutting measures to make money, with absolutely no concern about quality. We gave them many chances. This is not based on one visit.
excellent service, great food, nice selection, great atmosphere. I only have one complaint: their tap water is really bad.
Everything is good, they are very quick, and their business hours are more convenient than anyone else.
The best.. everything is great, including the variety, creativity, freshness of ingredients, value for the money, no cost-cutting measures used here, very generous with absolutely everything. They seem to put so much care into everything they make.
The best liquor store/deli on the planet! They have the best national/international selection of wines, and I'm sure they have every single liquor/liqueur in existence. Besides being an unbelievable place, Lee & Sue, the owners, call you by name, for of course we are all repeat customers. They ask how you are, what you've been doing.. you feel like you're visiting an old friend. Actually, my favorite part is their deli: the best, most delicious deli sandwiches and salads, and their portions are very generous, without exception. They really care about making their customers happy. And we are, Lee!! Thank you for being there!!
The prices were too steep for the very small amount of food presented on the plates. Also, the waitress was so stiff, cold, and proper, that we felt uncomfortable, like if I did not sit up straight, she would yell at me. Sure, the atmosphere was beautiful and very elegant, but it did not make up for the empty feeling (of still being hungry) that we felt upon exiting.
I had written a very negative review a few years back, when I was really in need and could not get past the front desk. Two years later, I called back, having totally forgotten that this was the same doctor's office I had problems with in the past, thinking I was calling a different endocrynologist. I got an appointment, and have been going to Dr. Ryan ever since, and am very happy with her. She must have a different front desk person now, lucky for me, for within those two years, I went through several really terrible so-called endocrynologists who should not even be licensed.
Max does such a superb job with everything: prices are extremely reasonable, portions so generous, beautiful presentation, best quality food, deliciously prepared.. he's so creative and every single item is a winner. You try something with an ingredient that you never even liked before, and you will love the dish at Max's. He has some magical way of preparing everything. From the outside you cannot even see the place. The inside is beautifully furnished, squeaky clean, wonderful, warm atmosphere, and the clientele is upper class.... always.
My visit to this particular Subway recently (May '08) was so disappointing that I will never return to any Subway again. The contents of my pastrami sandwich were so chincy. It contained one very thin slice of pastrami, and it was loaded with fat. There was a very thin strand of swiss cheese, like a quarter of a thin slice. The pickle slice was also as thin as a piece of paper. The sandwich was so lightweight, and equivalent to eating a little spongy bun with a little sprinkling of something inside that could not even be tasted. This was not a sandwich, it was just an embarrassment.. and an expensive embarrassment. I paid $8.99. This was supposedly a foot-long sub, believe it or not. I am writing this to warn others that Subway has gone totally cheap to save $. There is no way they will stand up to all of the great competition that is out there these days. Don't waste your time. Go anywhere else.
I have always and still do love Fanny Mae candy. It's the best. However, that cheap, low-quality free 1# box of assorted chocolates that you get for purchasing spending $29 or more is the pits. I throw it out every time. It's so bad. I have made requests to either omit the free box from my shipment or replace it with anything, ie a minuscule 4-pc. box of normal chocolates, even a little bag of hard candy. They continually ignore my request. So when I get the free 1-# box, I keep throwing it in the trash. This tells me something about their lack of concern for keeping good customers (I spend a lot of cash there.). This is not a good thing.
