Indianhead Health & Racquet
This is a good ski resort that keeps their trails well groomed.
The lodging is pricey especially at peak time. The chalets have seen better days, but the condo units are pretty nice.

Bluefin Bay
This is a beautiful place to stay. The condos are really nice with a stunning view of Lake Superior. It is so relaxing. The staff has a bonfire at night and provides hot chocolate and s'mores.
The restaurant is also very nice and has good food.
It is conveniently located near Lutzen resort.
I did not want to leave this place!

Schlotzskys Delicatessen
This is a chain, but the sandwiches are very good. You can get your choice of bread - all are good, and unique. There are good soups, salads, cookies, etc.
The service is fast and friendly.

Club 28 Inc
This is a casual bar and restaurant that has decent food at a reasonable price. There are a lot of deep fried selections on the menu, the service is pretty good and you get a better meal than at most places in the area.

Northwoods Treats & Sweets
This is a specialty shop in a Northwoods strip mall. There is good fudge, and a wide selection of other treats.
The people working there are friendly.

Thirsty Whale
This is a bar that serves food right on Minocqua Lake with a festive atmosphere. It has an outside deck, so one can enjoy the lake and watch the boat traffic. It's a fun place to have lunch, and the food is pretty good.

Heart Ii
This is basically a bar, but they serve food that is relatively inexpensive. They have a fried chicken special and a Friday fish fry. It's about as casual as you can get, definitely "come as you are".

Northwoods Nature
This is a very nice store where you can purchase lovely things for your yard. They have an excellent selection of beautiful and unique bird feeders, but they are expensive.
It's a great place to shop for a gift for someone who enjoys their yard.

Kurts Island Sport Shop
This is a store that caters to fishermen. You can get your license here, and there is lots of bait and tackle. It's a decent place for a bait store, and in a convenient location, right on Hwy 51.

Little Musky Bar
This is an attractive little Northwoods bar, and a good place for a burger.
However, they "welcome bikers" so I don't feel too welcome. It is a comfortable place for bikers and women with mustaches. Don't mess with the women that play in the horseshoe league there.
