Tapatio's Restaurant Mexicano
All I can say is I have going here for close to 10 Years now and I can also tell you there prices are very very modest and reasonable. Portions are large, you don't have to know how to speak spanish, though if you do you will be right at home. This place is the best Mexican resturaunt in Lakeland. The chips and salsa are delightful, their queso is out of this world. The Tacos El Pastor are to die for and you will not get faster service anywhere. We go on Sunday after church and it is packed and we are sitting and eating in 10 to 15 mins tops. The only con is the dining area is really small. Do not be fooled by the newer Tapa's on S. Fl/37s it is related but service and food quality did not make it. Very slow service and the food even though it looks the same is not. Dining area is much nicer and very large but I go out of my way to go to the orginal.

The first reviewer must have gone in complaining about prices or something because they owners and workers couldn't be any nicer. Or perhaps they were in a different store. The love to answer questions, and help with anything you need help with. The food is good, but I also wouldn't agree with the last reviewer and say it is the only place you can get good food in lakeland, or polk county. Anyway, I am not a huge health food nut but I don't like eating garbage for snacks so I get mine there, and occassionally I will get lunch or something there. I have never had anything I didn't like. Highly recommend if your sick of not being able to find things with out high fructose corn syrup, or poisonous sugar substitutes. A++++
