I'm an avid traveler and have spent the better part of my life traveling throughout the world. I wanted to drive to the Grand Canyon but my wife came across Grand Adventures and thought it would be a great idea to use a tour guide. I was reluctant to say the least but now I'm eternally grateful for the splendid time that Darryl gave us while showing us the Grand Canyon. I really felt like a friend visiting from out of town (which they emphasize on their website) and truly enjoyed his company. We had a small group of 8 people and watched the sunset. We were at the Grand Canyon for about 5 hours and trust me, even that is not enough time! The time just flew by and the nice thing about it is we never felt rushed at all. There are some moments when you just want to sit and savor the beauty of the Grand Canyon. We did savor some moments and all that time Darryl just sat with us taking it in. It was really nice being on a tour where we were not rushed and with someone who really understands what that beauty means to us as tourists. We also had just a fantastic picnic, perhaps one of the most surreal moments of my life. We literally sat right on the edge and had a picnic. The sandwiches were fantastic and we had plenty of fresh fruit, cheese, crackers, and cookies. The most stunning moment was watching the sun set over the Grand Canyon. It was just beautiful and you must see this if you are going to Las Vegas. It will really be the highlight of your trip and you'll just love making friends with Darryl. He's a top shelf guy. I can say I've never enjoyed a tour more thoroughly from our personal conversations on the ride to the Grand Canyon right through the whole tour. It was the best tour ever!
