I attended a banquet here and had a very lovely time. The ballroom and lobby were nice and provided an appropriately classy atmosphere for the occasion.
The location may be slightly difficult for non-local guests to find, but the grounds and ballroom exterior are beautiful.
This is a really cool used and local music store in downtown Norman. The store is small and slightly cramped, but they have a great selection. They even have a shelf for used movies. I found just what I was looking for here.
Guestroom Records is a cool used and local music store. It's located in kind of a neat artsy area on Western Ave.
The guy working there was very friendly and knowledgeable. Although they didn't have the CD I was looking for, he was able to tell me where to find it. He also recommended some similar artists who were performing in the area.
The store was clean and well-organized, and looks nice from the outside as well. So far, this is definitely the best used music store I've been to in Oklahoma City!
If you need something done fast--especially military uniform alterations--Young's is the place to go. The woman who works there is friendly and does a great job.
They are slightly more expensive that the other shops, but you can rely on having it done quickly and well. This is one of the most popular alterations places among the military population at Tinker AFB.
Tailor Maid is not quite as fast as Young's, but they are extremely nice and add a personal touch to the experience. They charge slightly less as well. I usually use them for military name tapes and other uniform alterations.
Coming from Texas, I am very picky about my Mexican food. I was consistently disappointed by every Mexican restaurant in New York until I tried this place. It was fabulous!
I knew from the minute that I walked in that it would be good. It has the feel of a small, family-owned and loved restaurant. The chips and salsa were awesome to start off. Then they served some of the best steak fajitas I've ever had! Everyone left extremely satisfied. The servers were friendly and we had a great time.
La Roma provided a lot of catering for our group over the summer, and the food was always fantastic! Their pizza and wings are great, but I especially loved their pasta.
This is a nice place for dining in as well. They have massive sub sandwiches that are a good choice for lunch.
8 Super is my favorite Chinese Buffet! It's a great place to go for lunch; their food is delicious, the servers are friendly and the price is reasonable. They have a very good selection, too.
We went in huge groups once a week and they were always very accommodating. There's always plenty of military folks from the research labs there.
The pizza at Tony's was really good, and my friends who ordered pasta weren't disappointed either. The restaurant itself could use some updating and fixing up to make it more accommodating.
If you're in Rome over the summer, you have to stop by Nicky Doodle's! They have a huge selection of ice cream, yogurt, and special sundaes. Everything is incredibly cheap, too! It's a great place to go with friends, with both indoor and outdoor seating.
