Kerbey Lane is the place to go at 2am, whether you've been up partying or studying. It's truly an Austin experience; you'll always find a unique mix of people there. The food is great, too!
If you're in the mood for breakfast, their pancakes are fabulous! My other favorite dish is the basil pecan pesto and penne.
Parking can be an issue at peak hours, but that's pretty much the deal with anything near the UT campus.
Serrano's is amazing. This location has a beautiful indoor restaurant and surrounding courtyard. Delicious (and SPICY) salsa, fantastic beef fajitas...the service is always excellent as well. If you haven't tried it, you're missing out!
My family went to Toby Keith's on a Friday night, so it was busy as expected. However, after waiting over an hour an a half for a table we found out that they had never written down our names. We were also not told that we could simply sit at one of the tables in the bar area without waiting to be called. At any rate, that's where the manager ended up sticking us when we explained the situation. The manager didn't even offer any kind of discount for the inconvenience.
The food was not anywhere near good enough to compensate for the terrible service and high prices. We agreed to never speak of this restaurant again in my house.
Hopefully my terrible experience at Toby Keith's was a fluke, but I will not be going there again.
We were actually very impressed by the food here; it was all delicious and we left satisfied. However, the prices were not in line with the atmosphere and menu. The food may be a bit better than Chili's, but I can't justify paying what they ask for just about the same thing.
This was one of my favorite places to eat while visiting Montgomery. It's small, but has a nice atmosphere and friendly service. The chicken dishes are good, and the sushi is great!
This is a great little restaurant that's kind of hidden in a small shopping center. The servers are nice and the food usually comes out fairly quickly. Everything I've tried has been delicious! The prices are also very reasonable.
My family pulled in to Poblanos on a whim, and we were all blown away by how delicious the food was. This quickly became one of my favorite Mexican restaurants! The salsa is awesome (although some may find it too mild), and the fajitas were some of the best I've tasted.
Our waitress was fantastic too. She went out of her way for us and did a great job. I highly recommend this place!
The service was good and they were accommodating to our large group, but I was very unimpressed with the food. My fajitas weren't hot when they served me, and they just didn't taste very good overall.
For good Mexican food in the area, I recommend Jalapenos.
I wish I had discovered this place sooner! The coffee is great, and they have a huge selection of desserts. Mozarts is right on Lake Austin, so you can study or hang out with a beautiful view and relaxing feel.
Hula Hut combines Mexican food with a Polynesian theme. The result is a unique menu full of delicious choices. My favorite is the Grilled Hawaiian Chicken dish.
This is a great place for a semi-casual date. The atmosphere is laid back and relaxed, and it looks out on Lake Austin for a beautiful view.
