I grew up on Lee's Chicken in Ohio, so when I drove by this location I just had to stop. It was exactly like I remembered--the chicken was delicious! The employees were extremely friendly, and the sweet tea was so good I bought a gallon to take home.
I haven't experienced much of the Beau Rivage other than the buffet, but I do like going for lunch. The food is good and the servers are always very pleasant and eager to please. The wait can be long sometimes though. On Mondays they give military members a 2 for 1 discount, but they are very unaccommodating if a military group happens to have an odd number of people. They refuse to discount the extra person's meal, which definitely puts me off considering how much business the base brings.
Raising Cane's has unique, tasty chicken fingers that I get cravings for all the time. Visiting from out of town, I was so happy to find out they had a location in Gulfport. I don't think the lemonade is quite as good as the Oklahoma restaurant, but the food is still delicious!
I love Raising Cane's! They have unique, tasty chicken fingers and awesome lemonade. I have to stop by every time I'm in Norman. The sweet tea is also very good.
Vitos doesn't look like much from the outside because it's located in a shopping center. However, the inside is very nice and provides a great quaint date atmosphere. There is a very personal feel, and the servers are very enthusiastic. They were able to give excellent recommendations. It was hard to choose what to order, but once we did we were all blown away. Highly recommended!
Trattoria has an urban, romantic atmosphere. More lighting would have been nice though, because it was hard to read the menus at the middle tables. The food was good and came in reasonable portions, although I thought the prices were a bit high for what we got. Overall we had a nice dinner, although I probably won't go back. Zios has much better food and larger portions. If you're looking for the date atmosphere, try Vito's Ristorante on May.
Earl's is extremely popular in Oklahoma City, but coming from out of state I found the BBQ to be mediocre. The brisket was tough and dry. The prices are decent though, and they do have burgers.
The Alamo Drafthouse is awesome! I can't recommend this place enough, it's a must if you're in Austin and looking for something to do. All the locations are great for catching a movie and having a good time, but the Drafthouse Downtown does special shows too. My favorites are Spike and Mike's Sick and Twisted Animation Festival, and the Foleyvision events. They offer so many different things, there has to be something for everyone on their schedule.
As far as food, their meals are pretty pricey. I usually eat beforehand, then just get an Italian soda and dessert. The best is the Molten Chocolate Cake a la Mode!
The food is fantastic, with huge portions! The atmosphere is inviting, but not too formal. We had a great server who was friendly and professional. The only downside is the parking situation. They are in Bricktown and don't own their lot, so parking is $5.
