Il Monticello Restaurant
I have been to a few functions here. The food is very good. The prices are reasonable for all of the food that you get. I have been to a baby shower there, and the buffet spread was great. The service was friendly, and the facility is neat. I would definitely think about using them in the future.
Steak Loft
I do not think this restaurant is worth the expensive prices. I was not overly impressed by the food. I ordered the stuffed shrimp, and they were ok. I know other steak and seafood places that have better food and where you can get more for your money.
Raining Cats & Dogs
If you love animals, this is the store for you. It has a huge variety of animal items ranging from calendars to picture frames. You can find any and all breeds of dogs. We usually take a trip there once a year to buy presents for my husband's mom who is an animal lover. The prices are reasonable.
La Bottega
I really love this shop because I can buy authentic Italian items. I have been able to find Italian movies and posters for my classroom that I can not find anywhere else. I usually take a trip there once a year because it is far from my house, but it is really worth it. The location of the store is great because it is in Old Mystic Village, and there are many other little shops in the area.
Donato's Italian Restaurant
The food at Donato's is good. The pizza is very good if you like a thin crust. They make a great focaccia pizza, but you need to order that early to give them time to make it. I also really recommend the gnocchi--they are homemade. The service is very good, and the decor is very Italian.
Serafinos Ristorante Italiano
I have been to Serafino's a few times. It is a decent Italian restaurant. The service is ok. I have been when the service is good, and I have also had not so good service there. If you go, make sure you are aware that shows may be going on at the Chevrolet theater, so it might be very busy.
Westbrook Lobster Restaurant
Westbrook Lobster is a great place to get seafood that is nearby. My fiance and I will go there on special occasions because the price of seafood is high. The food is worth the cost. We really like the clam chowder and the baked stuffed shrimp. It is very clean and the service is great. If you get a seat by the window, you get a nice view of the river.
Pacific Buffet & Grill
This buffet is our favorite. There are many different types of food which is great for everyone. You usually will get seated right away. The price is very good for all of the food that you can eat. The service is good, and it is very clean.

Checkers Food Store
Checkers food store is a great little convenience store right in the center of town. It has all kinds of snacks and drinks. If you need something quick, they have it. I go there a lot to pick up the paper, and the owner is very friendly.

Little Italy Gourmet Mkt
The food at Little Italy is alright. My fiance and I have been there a couple of times, and each time we hope the food is better. The food is satisfactory. There are much better deli's in Wallingford to get food. I do like the market there. You can get all kinds of Italian food especially during holiday times.
