Do not use Debonair Cleaners. Not only do they lie about their prices, they jack up extra charges without informing the customer. On Dec 3rd, 2007, I dropped off 4 shirts for dry cleaning and 2 pairs of jeans for mending/ patch work. They refused to tell me the prices for the dry cleaning when I dropped off my 4 shirts but quoted me $8.00 for BOTH pairs of jeans. When I went to pick up my items on Dec 6th, the cashier girl complained that I was early to pick up my items (by about 2 hours), then made me wait 20 minutes( I watched the clock because I was on my 1 hour lunch break).
She tried to charge me $16.00 for the jeans PLUS $35.00 for the dry cleaned shirts! I refused to pay. They tried to argue with me that they quoted me $16.00 for the jeans and an extra 1.00 for my silk shirts and then an extra $1.00 for the sequins on 1 of my shirts. They NEVER informed me of this, nor did they ever mention that when I dropped off my clothes. I had to leave and offered to pay minus the extra $8.00 but they refused to take my card unless I paid the full amount. I told them I would not pay. I left my phone number and told them to call me. I did end up paying the next day but it took my extra time, it stressed me out, they ruined my lunch break and they were completely unprofessional. I will never use them again. I ask you to not use Debonair Cleaners if you want a good experience with a dry cleaners.
