Dr Frizell and his staff are excellent. He always puts the quality of my dog's life ahead of all else. He is excellent at diagnosing. He is calm and collect even when I am not. His staff is intelligent, friendly, and sharp. His waiting room has no advertising. I always find parking within a block and there are three spaces out in front. The waiting area is big. But most importantly, he is the only vet with an office that my dog runs into, wags his tail once in, and even loves to go in back. This is still his reaction after serveral surgeries.

Cancer is bad, but the treatment my friend receives from City of Hope is worse. The doctors at City of Hope have access to all the information, the part that is hell is trying to get them to take the time to research on their behalf. When their cancer metasized, their oncologist came in without doing so much as looking at the available list of chemos and comparing their patient history. The oncologist would not consult with other oncologists on their the City of Hope staff for my friend's life. I was there and was horrified. The doctor complained about there lack of time, but they dont appear to band together to change things. Appointment times were reduced to twenty minutes at one point- come on this is a complicated disease. My friend has a strong fighting spirit and has been able to navigate through difficult personalities so this is the tool that they use to extend their life. My friend was sent home to die at least 3 times from City of Hope. They had difficulty reading their CT Scans. Doctors and their staff do not usually return their phone calls on serious issues without many, many calls. Waiting times for their appointments were ususally an hour late and at times 2 and a half hours in crowded rooms. When their counts are low, they worry about getting sick in these waiting room.

Judith is the most incredible make-up artist. She did what no one else could do. She is very supportive and listens. The Merle Norman products she recommended were on point. If you are having trouble with your make-up, Judith will help you. They give you a personalized lesson. They put all the items used in a computer and you are under no obligation to buy. In my case, I bought a few items, then went back as I found that I wished for more. The service was incredible.
