I've been around to many of the NoVA bridal boutiques. Katherine's has a limited collection, which includes some very nice dresses, but I didn't feel at ease there. I arrived on time for my appointment and still had to wait for a trunk show to be over so I can try on dresses. They only have 2 fitting rooms, so you have to wait. I tried on about 5 dresses, 2 of which are from their "private collection". The attendant kept telling me how pretty I looked in the dresses that are from their collection, and then when I tried on the rest, she hurried me, kept saying the others were nicer, and telling me that their collection looked better on me. I didn't like the attitude at all. I felt rushed and pressured. I told them that I want to see Maggie Sottero dresses and they looked up the styles I liked then tried to get me similar ones from their collection (which is expensive). If you can be patient, and are willing to plunk down enough money, then you might find a good dress there. Not sure about the alterations though.

I tried on a couple of dresses there. The dressing room is large and private, so I felt comfortable. Rosalin is nice and helpful, not too pushy. The collection is not that large, but looked like they have a lot of BM dresses. No pictures allowed.
