Filling Station Bbq

Lees Summit, MO Barbeque Restaurants 12/12/07: 'The neatest little place'

The place is just really neat. The whole place just has the coolest atmosphere. The food is just really good and the price is not bad. Good location near downtown Lee's Summit. Perfect for walking throught the shops of Downtown L.S. and walking over for some good BBQ!!

Jazz

Kansas City, MO Caterers - Kansas City, MO Restaurants 12/12/07: 'Great Food and fun place'

The food is just great. The best gumbo I ever had and I've been to New Orleans. Location in in midtown and too bad the other Jazz's around town closed. If the main one in midtown ever goes out of business. It will be a sad day for food in Kansas City

Good drink selection. Nice building and location. River Market a growing area. parking can be better. However it's worth it for the good food, drinks and atmosphere. A must for after work or after a event at the new Sprint Center.

Paddy O'Quigley's Pub & Grill

Good food. The cornbeef sammich is really good. The place is clean and service is good. Needs live entertainment though. Like a good local irish band like the one in Lenexa has.

Peanut

Lees Summit, MO Restaurants 12/12/07: 'Bartenders are rude and try to rip you off.'

I Have a big problem with the Lees Summit Peanut. Reading these post just make me made all over again. The BLT is great. But Ill never go back the way the bartenders treat people. I got the BLT and the bartender asked if I want fries, without thinking I said yes. Then I got the bill and he charged me for a basket of fries. When I pointed that out, he said that all sandwiches comes with chips, fries are extra. I said yeah but for $3.00. He said that how much fries cost. Then I said, well where are my chips then and he said, you substituted then for fries. I told him if you were going to charge me for a BASKET of fries I should have gotten a Basket! Instead I got what would consisted of a McDonalds Happy Meal size fries. Yet I paid for a whole basket. And I didnt get the chips. I was lucky though; my cousin fell for the same trick, but he got onion rings. He paid even more and only got 4 or 5 rings. Thats like 70 to 80 cents a ring. We went round and round with the guy, but he wasnt going to budge. So if you go there, just be careful. They will try to rip you off. We ended up paying almost $12.00 for a BLT. Like I said it was pretty good, but not for almost $8.00. ***By the way, another important note. They do have what appear to be homemade chips on the menu. BUT that is not what you get when you order a sandwich. You get a small Grab Bag of Plain Lays Potato Chips. Be very careful of that trick too. Not All Peanuts are the same. The one in Shawnee Mission has great service and the owner is a really nice guy. Lees Summit is just horrible. Go someplace else.
