Smugglers Culinary Catering
The Captain's Table is located on the second floor above Harpoon Harrys at Fisherman's Village. The dining area overlooks Charlotte Harbor which can be awesome in the early evening as the sunsets. You can enjoy a tasty meal and a beautiful panoramic view of the Harbor while gazing at gorgeous sunsets. Seating is available inside or on the outdoor deck. Either way the food taste great. We were greeted by a friendly host. We preferred to sit inside this time because it was a little chilly for us. The service was friendly and quick. It was very busy and crowded that evening. We were attending a private catered affair. We had a salad with the house dressing, prime rib, scalloped potatoes, and dinner rolls. The prime rib was a little too rare for me but it was very good. We do plan to come back to try out their regular menu.
Florida Eye Health - Dr T.Aaron Judd
The Florida Eye Health office is located in the downtown Punta Gorda. Your are greeted by a professional & courteous staff. Appointments are easily made and the receptionist is flexible with the scheduling. I personally don't look forward to eye examinations, but Dr. Judd makes you feel comfortable by taking time to explain what to expect and why he is doing it. He too is professional & attentive to his patients. The office area is very clean and there is also coffee & cookies in the waiting room if you choose to have some. I would recommend this Dr. Judd for your next visit to the eye doctors.
John & Mable Ringling Museum
I went with my husband because he had to evaluate several pieces of art for a class he was taking at the time. We went to buy admission tickets and saw they offered a discounted price to students. Yes, my husband is a student and prepared to tell this to the woman at the desk. She told him he was too old to be a student despite him showing her a student ID card from a local college. We both laughed and said that we did not know age declared eligibility to take classes at college. After some thought, she allowed my husband to pay the discounted price. We went through the museum to choose art to evaluate. I was more impressed with the outside gardens and architecture than I was with the art inside. We did visit the circus museum. I was quite intrigued by the miniature version of a circus during the early 1900's setup that spanned across a large platform. The setup was very detailed from the clown tents to animal staging area. This was very impressive. I would recommend to go there. We were not able to visit the mansion because of the time.
Comet Dry Cleaners
Comet Dry Cleaners is located right off of Rte 41 in the Publix shopping plaza. Very friendly and accommodating staff. I had a pair of pants with a stain that another cleaners could not get out. This dry cleaners cleaned my pants and removed the stain. I would recommend them.
Lindy Hop's Ice Cream Parlour
Rich creamy and delicious. You can eat in or takeout. The inside is bright and clean with a 50's style theme. The service is friendly and efficient. The owner is always coming up with different flavors for people to try out. Pumpkin ice cream is excellent. Green Tea ice cream is also great. My favorite is Mississippi Mud Pie. They also make ice cream cakes which are also yummy! I would recommend this place for a great family treat.

TIC - Termites Inspections & Consultants Inc.
We needed to get a termite inspection for our new house. It was recommended to us to get TIC as inspectors. The inspector was very professional and honest. I would recommend this business if you needed an inspection done for your home.
Galloway Diner
We come here in the late evening after sports events, concerts or school activities. They serve breakfast to dinners. I had homemade waffles topped with blueberries and a cup of coffee. My son had a cheese steak sandwich with a milk shake. We both enjoyed our food. Prices are reasonable. I would recommend going to this place.

Yard House
This was my first time here to the Yard House. I would go back again. We went for dinner. We were greeted by a friendly host and a even friendlier server. The server was efficient and very knowledgeable of the menu and ingredients. There was a variety of entrees to choose. She made recommendations. I had baked ziti. It was excellent. I could not eat all of it. So I took the rest home. My husband had salmon which he really enjoyed. I understand they are known for their beers from around the world. I had iced tea. There were five of us - it came out to about $20.00 per person.(w/o tip)
PROS: Friendly & knowledgeable staff, variety of food & drinks, great atmosphere
