We had a similar experience to reviewer #1 with an older car at United Transmission exchange of Westfield. A friend had recommended them and the place we usually use couldn't do transmissions, so we tried them. They took the car for a test drive, diagnosed the problem and had it fixed by the next day. The price was reasonable. We were happy.
Joe Walts was once a neighbor of ours and we used his car service all the time for many years. The service was always friendly and fairly priced. I never felt that we were sold anything we didn't need , which is my pet peeve with car repair places. They always did a fine job and left he car neat and clean, too.
Walking into this place was like walking into an old relative's house. The man at the counter was so friendly and eager to be helpful. I used them only one time because I don't live near there but it was a very positive experience. They had my car towed and serviced in no time at all. It was diagnosed as a cracked distributor cap right away so no time was wasted.
When I was a Public Health Nurse in Springfield, Roy's Towing helped me out of a few jams. Twice they jumped my car and once when I had locked the keys inside they came and helped me get back into it when the police had just instituted a new policy that they would no longer do it for people. There I was alone in a not so great neighborhood and the Roy's Tow Truck looked like a knight in shining armour to me. They didn't even charge me! UNbelievable service.
We used this business to bless a friend for a special birthday one year. It was a surprise and he could not have been happier. The cleaning job inside and out of the large vehicle was superb.
If the prices were more realistic, I could give the good old Somers Inn a higher rating. The food really is very good but it's just not an easily affordable trip out with the family. Maybe date night?
We had a Sunday lunch here with some family. Everything from soup, salad to entrees were very average. The service was very, very good, so we felt bad that we probably would not ever return, because the food just didn't do anythign for us, but we left a good tip anyway. The atmosphere was very attractive and comfortable, so it's a shame I won't be able to drag hubby back any time. The prices were high for what you got.
Grabbed one gyro sandwich wrap here once on our way home from visiting some family out that way. It was messy to eat while driving but absolutely delicious. One of the best gyros I've ever had. The dressing was not too heavy or too light-just right.
We attended a beautiful wedding reception here two years ago. The food was outstanding. The service was outstanding. The decor was outstanding. And we were also out standing until the dinner line was available. They took a little while to get it together once we had all arrived, but were pleasant about it and offered a nice hors d'ouvres table in the interim. It was the neatest thing to be treated to horse and carriage rides around the park while waiting, though. The area inside the building looked surprisingly small but the tent outside was humongous and served us well.
We accidentally tripped into this place on our way home from a Connecticut appointment and just had dessert. What a treat! The whipped cream tasted fresh, and the two desserts we tried were outstanding--homemade. We will try to stop in for a meal for sure next time. The meats grilling smelled wonderful while we were there.
