We really liked the atmosphere and surroundings here-on the elegant side which surprised me. I am just not a fan of Thai food. My husband really likes the stuff and he loved some things and did not like several others. If we could have tried more items maybe we would have liked them --a lot of good smells in there--but the prices did not allow that and portions were on the larger side.
As my husband moved to Lakeland from Massa chusetts when he was twelve, he really searched for a restaurant that would even come close to up home style pizza. CDB's was the only one that could satisfy! Thick crust, generous portions and the best pizza in Lakeland for years. He was so sad to see them close after a fire, since we revisited whenever in town up until then. He anxiously broght the kids there to show it off. As a 30 year long customer, not counting the silent years, he is so glad to see CDBs again.
We tried Beef O Bradys when it replaced another favorite Lakeland steak house in the area. We were all disappointed with something about our meals. My prime rib was not flavorful and very fatty. In their defense, I forgot to ask for my usual end cut--might have been better. My husband's fish smelled like fish-which is never appealing, if you know what I mean. The bread was cold. The service was not attentive at all. Sorry. I don't like writing bad reviews but these are the facts.
We have really enjoyed our several visits to Maggianos in KOP. The wait can sometimes be long but sometimes you get right in. The food wait varies, but it is so worth the wait! Everything we've ever ordered there was delicious. We keep forgetting to share meals and always end up going home with tons of leftovers. The portions are humongous.
Of all things at an Italian place, I especially enjoy their fresh asparagus in season. They make it with garlic. Yum.
Our daughter goes to college near here so we once used this service to send her some much needed finals study food for her and her suite mates. It was a big hit. The charge was high for the short drive they took but three different types of food were delivered to feed 6 kids and in the end it was worth the sweet treat. They delivered when Mom & Dad were too far away to do it ourselves.
This little spot in out of the way KOP, PA is a real find. The Italian cuisine is totally authentic. Bread is to die for. Their house salad dressing was unique and a really nice blend of spices--good to dip the bread in. Prices are fair for what you get.
I love Vinny T's. They make the best fried mozzarella anywhere. The red sauce reminds me of my Italian gramma's and the white sauce is oh so creamy and garlicky. We love the garlic bread squares and the antipasto salad is very fresh, loaded with pepperoncini and olives. The veal parm is for real--not frozen patties. The chicken parm is a huge portion. We entertained guests here once and they were very pleased. The family style menu offering was also very well priced for a crowd.
We had the best family experience at this hotel last year while on vacation. The room we were originally assigned through our Priceline purchase had a leak in the bathroom, so we asked to be moved. There were no more regualr rooms so they immediately upgraded us to one of their "theme rooms". It was an unbelievable replica of Pharoah's tomb! Sounds creepy but it wasn't. The kids went wild for their bed in the loft. Everything was Egyptian in the room. There was a Gilligan's Is;and Room, a Sailing ship room , a victorian room, a Hollywood room and many more. REALLY COOL!
Morton's is probably one of the best restaurants in the King of Prussia area. The steak is always a treat. There's a lot more on the menu too. I love the twice baked potatoes. It's not cheap eats but it never disappoints. Good sized portions, too.
We had a very good experience as a family at this hotel. They participate in the Priceline program so we even got a great deal on the rooms. It's very clean. The help is very good and the restaurants are excellent. Pool is nice, too.
