Grooming Gallery, while small is a great place to get your dog groomed. Their prices are reasonable ($40 for my small dog) and they usually do the cut quickly. The staff is very friendly and makes me feel at ease leaving my dog there.
Little India has good food and prices, but the space is rather small. I definitely enjoy eating there, but I wouldn't say it's nearly my favorite restaurant in saratoga.
I didn't get a piercing, only a new earring. They gave me one that was thicker than the original, which I had not asked for. While that is a small mistake, I have heard of worse, in relation to piercings. They botched a nose job and an industrial bar of two friends of mine. I have overall heard negative things about their piercing abilities, and have been advised numerous times not to get pierced there. As for tattoos, they fair a little better of a rep. I was with my friend when she got a tattoo done there, and it passed my test of approval. So overall, tattoos yes, piercings NO.
Needlewurks is the best place to get a piercing in Saratoga. I have never had an infection or experienced any problems with their piercings. Their staff knows what they're doing, and are quick and exact. I've never heard a negative story about them, and I'd definitely recommend getting your piercing there.
This place is a really trustworthy one to bring your animal to. It is clean, and the staff is very caring and attentive. They will always find time for emergencies, and spend an extra few minutes answering questions over the phone. They were really great when my family was dealing with the sickness and eventual loss of a pet...and then great in a new way when we got a new puppy! We've been going there for years, and I would definitely trust your animals with them.
The GR Pharmacy is nothing impressive. They got the usual...greeting cards, snacks, gifts...odds and ends. The parking lot is fairly small, which can be annoying.
The Country Club is a very nice place. My parents thoroughly enjoy the golf course, and my sisters and I enjoy the pool. We've used it a few times for graduation/birthday parties, and there has never been a problem. Its a nice place inside...I've even eaten Thanksgiving dinner there! But as country clubs are...of course there are rules. No denim is allowed anywhere, something that can be annoying. Also, there application process is extremely lengthy and involved. But, at least for my parents, it was definitely worth it because of all the enjoyment they get out of it.
As an inexperienced knitter, I wasn't really sure what I was looking for. Yet the staff was incredibly helpful, and even took the time to teach me a few things. They have some really beautiful stuff in there, and the store has a great comfortable vibe. They also offer some knitting classes.
This sandwich shop is reasonably priced and has good food. On weekends the service can tend to be a little slow because for Glen Ridge residents its the closest place to get a quick meal.
As themed restaurants go, Circus Cafe is a good one. They give you popcorn instead of bread, and theres cotton-candy on the desert menu. The food is ok, but I think the decoration of the interior makes up for what the food is lacking. Definitely a fun time.
