On the way recently opened here in a spot that used to have an older convenience store. It is renovated and clean, and they have a gas station also with decent prices. Keep your eyes open for mailers with coupons to use here, such as free cup of coffee...
My daughters drama group had their semi-formal here last year. It's a simple little hall, but it was nicely decorated and has a lot of potential. The group provided their own food. The layout was nice and perfect for what they were there for. Nice location too.
The Variety Store on Meadow is kind of scary to go into, and I wouldn't go there at night for sure. I had to run in for a paper when my son was short that day. It's not a place that I will use for milk and bread...or anything else.
Kevin is recommended as a DJ. He has a huge selection of music and plays whatever is asked. He also goes to nursing homes and entertains the residents there which is very nice. The only drawback is sometimes he has others DJ the event for him, and sometimes they don't bring the entire selection of music...But if you ask for Kevin, you'll be all set.
William Pynchon Estates is on Meadow St in Agawam. They are townhouses. What a great deal for a very nice apartment. We helped my brother move in recently, and it had been freshly painted and carpeted. All that we had to do was wipe down cabinets, closets, and the bathroom. He pays 1 price that includes everything but cable and phone, and it includes air conditioning. You share the washer dryer with just 3 other tenants. There is a basement for storage. Even though it is parallel to Rte 57, it is very quiet. And, they just built brand new units...
I got an emergency call on the way to a campground that they were missing the marshmallows for smores. The Granville Country store was my only hope...it reminded me a little of the store in The Little House on the Prarie with the wooden floors. Anyway, they had no marshmallows out on the shelves, but did locate a bag in the back. Nice people...
I went to an "estate sale" that was hosted by West Side Auction. It was a woman who had to move to a nursing home, and I knew her years ago. I was there on the 2nd day of the sale. The house was ransacked. Some clothes from the closet looked like they had been walked on. Stuff was everywhere. There were 2 workers in the kitchen, one was wrapping some glass for a buyer, and the other was just sitting and reading the paper. I said to myself, that man needs to be walking the house and keeping things as orderly as possible. Anyway, I left the house empty handed and heartbroken for this woman who basically had strangers tossing her belongings around as if it was trash. I vowed that no matter what, noone that I love would ever have to leave their belongings behind in this manner.
Utz chips is our families first choice for a salty snack. Our favorites are Sour Cream and Onion, Honey BBQ, and the Reduced Fat chips (that way you can eat more!). We also like the Utz pretzels.
Apartments Affordable Search is a monthly magazine and is a decent source for those that are apartment hunting in all of New England. It is printed in color and lists many apartment complexes. Each ad lists the apartments amenities and rent price ranges. Also, web site info to research in more detail on many.
The name of this store was A Dollar...located in the Avenue at Tower City. I was thousands of miles from home, and needed just a couple of things for the ride home. We poked around here for a while and found a few great deals. Friendly cashier. Obviously as name indicates, all items are $1.
