Kids and adults alike will not be bored here. You walk through aquariums that surround you on all sides seeing a huge variety of fresh and salt water fish. The sharks and sea turtles are the best. If you visit the Mall, you can go once, then come back again the same day and get back in for free. If you are local, it is worth getting a membership, so whenever you visit the Mall, you can walk through the exhibit.
The Rivercentre offers a wide variety of sizes when it comes to convention space. It is much easier to get to and to park at when compared to the Minneapolis Convention Center. It is very modern.
Everything and anything Disney is here, just don't expect any deals. It's priced as if you were at Disney World in person. Unique Disney collectibles are also here. You kids will love it.
This store is exactly what it says - it sells Mall of America branded merchandise. Living here, I don't think of that as a big deal, but from a tourist perspective, I guess you'd want to come home with something that says you visited Mall of America. If that's the case, you must visit this store.
I went in here with my wife expecting just another gift store. There are actually some unique gift ideas in here. The staff will help you find what you are looking for, whether if be for a child, adult or senior. This is one gift store I actually enjoyed visiting, and I am a guy!
The gift shop at the Zoo has a wide selection of items, many of which correlate to actual animals they have at the zoo. Members get a nice discount. The prices really are not bad as compared to some that you see in other tourist attraction gift stores. Staff is always friendly and helpful.
I've been impressed with Valley Middle. There are some very experienced teachers who are committed to education. Teachers are up-front with their expectations. The Principal instills a culture of respect. Lots of positive behavior reinforcement here. If you notice I didn't mention much about the older facility, that is because the staff makes a successful school, not the building.
Cedar Park recently became a STEM magnet school. My children attended before this happened, so not sure how much it changed. The educators were committed. Discipline of students who mis-behaved seemed to be lacking - the same bad eggs keep getting away with doing bad things. The curriculum did not seem very challenging for anyone above average.
I actually took adult lessons here. The instructor was knowledgeable and patient. Each adult in the class had different goals, and she worked with each one individually to work towards that goal. They keep the water very warm, I'm sure the children enjoy that. Facility was very clean. I've also visited it during weekday lap swimming during the Noon hour, it's a nice alternative to an expensive health club.
Sponsels does the whole apple orchard scene right. They have everything there. Pumpkins, apple picking, wagon rides, corn maze, horseback riding, holiday in lights, concessions, music, and the beautiful Apple Lodge with fireplaces, and of course all the apple treats and bakery items you can think of. If you are looking for the perfect place to spend a Fall day with everyone from 1 to 100, Sponsels is it! They have a great website too.
