I'm not sure why this place gets so crowded, except for the location. It is very close to the bar madness in Hermosa Beach, so that's why I think they pack in a very young crowd. I suppose it would be fun the the twenty-something crowd on a Friday or Saturday night. But the food is not very good, and it is way over priced. Better off going to Black Angus.
This Salt Creek Grille is in the new shopping area in El Segundo. It is new and very beautiful. The food is fantastic and the service is wonderful. The atmosphere is very hip and eclectic. The prices are good for the quality.
Neno's is trying to diversify now by calling itself an Italian Cafe, but it fits. They really have a large menu selection: Appetizers, salads, pastas, pizzas, sandwiches, chicken, ribs, seafood, burgers and desserts. The food is quite good and the prices are pretty low. They also deliver.
Hof's Hut really has awesome food. They have a very diverse menu and a wonderful bakery. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. Be sure to sign up online for their birthday club, because you get a full meal and a piece of bake for your birthday!
This is a new restaurant/grill and bar, that popped up over night. It looks like it would be a seedy country bar from the outside, but it is actually pretty nice inside. They offer some really great food at very reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend.
They do have a lot of homemade, country comfort foods on the menu here like meatloaf and chicken fried steak, but I'm not sure how much is actually made from scratch. I suspect the hamburgers are frozen patties from Costco. They are not very good, but the other food is pretty good. The service is very friendly and pretty fast.
Sammys has really great food. Their pizzas are world class. They offer the usual suspects as well as some exotic blends. I love that they offer fat free mozzarella! Their entrees are large and tasty, but save room for desert. The chocolate sundae is a must. The prices are really great for the quality and quantity of food. It's casual with friendly service.
My mouth waters when I think of Chicken Dijon. They really do have the best rotisserie chicken around. They offer meals with wonderful side dishes, like baked potato, rice pilaf, cole slaw, steamed vegetable, hummus, Mediterranean fries (my favorite) and more. The meals come with a pita and their secret garlic sauce. Make sure to order extra garlic sauce, as you will definitely be hooked from the first bite!
Olivera's is a little local style coffee shop. They have wonderful breakfast here. The service is very friendly and the servers always have something nice to say. The prices are very reasonable.
Hungry Heart is a locals secret for all thinks skater punk. This is the music store part, and they have a great selection of instruments, especially guitars. The clothing and accessories are great for the skater in your life.
