This is a great place to eat if you like Irish cuisine. I have eaten here several times and each time the food has been terrific. They serve all of the normal Irish and English beers on tap and you can plant yourself at the bar while waiting for a tale.
Once you get a table the service is excellent and the food is even better. I usually get either the fish and chips or the shepard's pie and every time I have had it it is delicious.
The food here was only ok and not incredibly flavorful. This is a decent place if you want to go out for a meal, but I wouldn't go here for any special occaions.
This resaurant has been in the same family since the early to mid 1900s. The menu has not changed and very little inside the restaurant has either. Usually if I am here we go a little early for drinks, the bartender makes a great Old Fashioned, and hang out at the bar.
The servers are all very nice and the food is terrific. The usually have a dialy special on some type of steak and it is always cooked perfectly.
This is one of the better venues to see live music in Ithaca. There is plenty of room to move about in here and the bar is far back from the stage so it is easy to order drinks. They also have an outside deck that is open in the summer.
They usually have listings of upcoming events posted online at either myspace or facebook.
This bar has all of the best microbrews that they rotate in and out on thier 30 taps. I go here about once a week with my dad after work and get a couple beers.
I won't even try to list all of the beers they have, but rest assured you will find something you like.
As far as diners go, this is about as run of the mill, as it gets. One of the good things about it is the size, it can accomodate a ton of people. The food is decent, but nothing to getexcited about.
I consider this to be one of the landmarks in Ithaca since it has been around forever. The atmosphere is your typical diner atmosphere with a large plate grill right behind a long counter. The can make pretty much anything you want here and it is refreshing to go into a nice well lit eatery after a night of partying.
I went here several times with some friends and had a good time. I was surprised that they actually knew and could make a black and tan despite being in Flint, MI.
They also have a small stage which sometimes has a couple bands.
This is the only place I ordered chinese take-out from in Flint during my 4 years of school there. The prices ae great for the huge orders you get and the food is pretty good (for Chinese take-out). I always got the General Tso's Chicken with an eggroll.
This place is a neat little place to stop in and grab a bite to eat. They have all of the typical diner food and breakfast is served all day. They also have a Burger and Shake combo with a yon of varieties of shakes and malts that are all very good.
