Right across the street from the University of Colorado main campus. This hotel is very unique. With all the cookie cutter boring hotels out there, this one stands out. The lobby has a beach volleyball court, rock wall, and a great indoor pool. This hotel would be great for a family on vacation in Boulder.
Placid Planet is a high-end specialty bike shop in Lake Placid. The carry a few good lines of bikes and gear. The staff is great. The shop also does a great job with bike fit.
High Peaks Cyclery is an icon of Lake Placid. They specialize in cycling gear and bikes, but also carry gear for other outdoor pursuits. Nordic skis, hiking gear, and tele skis are also available. They get involved in sponsoring local athletes and the local sporting events that make LP a great town.
Dimon Sports is a specialty store for speedskating products. The owner is extremely passionate about the sport and it shows in his excellent shop. Good value, too.

The Saratoga area has more than their fair share of good restaurant, but the Lee family has a great one. The Wishing Well is a little off the beaten path, but that can be a good thing. Great food, excellent service.
