For your next function after you secure your event planner, plan to go to Event Rentals Unlimited next. They rent most items you will need to have a fabulous event. If you need an idea of what you want the room or the table settings to look like, their showroom will provide the inspiration you need. My organization, rented glass ware and table cloths from Event Rentals. The glass ware was impeccably clean and the table cloths looked brand new and snow white. Event Rentals rents to the large local catering companies, their inventory includes tents and chairs to chargers and chaffing dishes. I received excellent service from each person, I encountered, from the office staff to the warehouse staff. For my next event, I will defintely choose Event Rentals Unlimited.
About 7 years ago, I found out about eye brow threading. It is a technique from India (and surrounding countries) that uses a piece of thread to arch eye brows. Veena Brows is located on Roswell in Sola Salons at the Kroger Plaza. I love threading, the results are amazing and as long as I have been getting it done I still can believe a piece of thread can make my brows look this good. Veena is a great threader, not only does she do brows but upper lip, full face and henna tattoos. It only takes about ten minutes and feels like plucking with tweezers for the brows, upper lip and face may be a little more painful for some. Lasts about 3 weeks. Although, you can walk in it is best to make an appointment, Veena keeps set hours.
Six weeks before my daughters Sweet Sixteen party our baker told us that she could bake the cupcakes for their party. I immediately began to ask my co workers about bakeries in the area. I tried sample baked goods from three bakeries and by far Gabriel's Desserts was the best. My co worker told me Gabriel's made her wedding cake and everyone who had the cake commented how her cake was the best wedding cake they ever tasted. Before trying the cakes my husband and I went there for breakfast, not was it only reasonably priced but good. The cinnamon roll was excellent especially heated. A few days later my daughters and I went to Gabriel's and bought two types of cupcakes (a red velvet cupcake), one cookie, pet-it fours and slice of chocolate cake.To me pet-it fours are the true test of a bakery. A pet-it fours is supposed to melt in your mouth and Gabriel's did. We met with the owner a week later to discuss what we needed. We ordered 6 dozen cupcakes and one seven inch cake that were decorated to match my daughter's party invitation. There cupcakes were a hit! Since their party, my team at work has been there several times for lunch and have ordered cakes from Gabriel's for our team birthday parties. Not only are the baked goods awesome, but the southern style food tastes just like your grandmother made it. There are no words to describe the meatloaf. Fortunately, you can buy a whole meatloaf frozen as part of their frozen food selection. The service is good but they get very busy during lunch time and you may not be able to reach them by phone for orders during that time. No matter, the baked goods, the food, the fresh salads are worth the wait!! Even if you have to drive 25+ minutes to get there. When it is time to eat cake, Gabriel's Desserts needs to be your first stop.
My best friend called me on a Monday night in November and told me that she wanted me to go with her to Israel...After I caught my breath, started to think what I needed to do to prepare for the trip. First thing was to get a passport and get one quick. My neighbor told me about the Denied Boarding Desk a division of T.I.S at the airport atrium, as the family was traveling out of the country and one of their children's passport had expired. They were going to have a re newed passport in just few days and would be able to make their trip. I thought that it was happening so fast because it was a renewal, that was not the case. I called first to confirm all the documents I needed to bring. The staff was friendly and answered all my questions. I went to the location at the airport at about 7:30 in the morning, I was at work by 9:20 whole process took about 45 mins. The extra time was because the photo I took at a local drugstore that advertised passport photos, the background was too dark. By the way the photo was included in their service. The staff there walked me through the whole process and I was on my way. I received my passport within 5 business days! Everyone I encountered with T.I.S was friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and most importantly in this day PROFESSIONAL!!! If you need a passport quickly without any hassle, T.I.S, is the service to use!
After three years of seeing the same massage therapist every two week's it was difficult to choose a new therapist. Since my therapist move to St. Croix, I had not a massage for over a year! For Valentines Day last year my husband gave me a gift certificate for the Natural Body Spa. I chose to go the location at Ivy Walk in Smyrna. I had been to the locations at The Highlands and the Vinings location./ I was extremely satisfied with the massage and the therapist at the Highlands as well as the first pedicure I received at the Vinings location. However my second experience was not that satisfying, the pedicure was good, but my second visit, I was not that therapist's type of client. I do mean client, nothing more. I know this being seeing how she interacted with another first time client. So when I received the gift certificate I decided to try the Ivy Walk location. Luckily as with my previous therapist, I happened upon another excellent therapist Jennifer!!. I got the 60 minute massage, it was awesome. The atmosphere was great, the music was not too loud and Jennifer was really interested in making sure I was comfortable. Her technique is different than my previous therapist, a tad firmer. I am more relaxed with her, my last visit I just took a deep breath and inhaled the aromatherapy oils and I heard the stress across the back of shoulders release. It sounds like little pops. I highly recommend Jennifer. Hope to be back on my every two week routine soon! Unfortunately, I cannot give that same high recommendation to the other staff. Not only do I go to Natural Body Spa Ivy Walk for massages I also go there to purchase Bumble and Bumble hair products. I go to this location a least once every six weeks and have been for the last eight months, prior to getting massages. I have seen the same people there and they still cannot remember my name. I have engaging to the staff and friendly. Yes, I understand that they see lots of people everyday, but when you are at the register talking to your colleagues and not being mindful of your clients, I would assume that you would not remember a client's name.
After moving to Smyrna, I was reluctant to change my family's doctors, however the 35 minute drive back to Stone Mountain and increase in gas prices, I began to realize I need to find doctor's in our new area. The final decision was made when the staff of my eye doctor of 12 years failed to call me when the doctor was not there. I was just there one week and I was told they did not have my phone number. I pass by Smyrna Eye Group, while taking my daughters to school. I gave the office a call and set an appointment. The receptionist was very professional. I when I arrived to the office, I was greeted by the staff. I did not sit very long before I was taken back for my eye exam. I asked my husband to come with me, because I assumed that my eyes would be dilated. That was not the case. Dr Weiss offices utilizes the most recent technology. Instead of the traditional eye drops that are used to dilate the eyes, a machine was used take a picture of my eyes. There was an additional fee for this but to have the latest technology it was worth it! Dr Weiss then came into the room, he was professional and had a wonderful "bed side" manner. He explained what he was doing and why. The next part of the exam, instead of the normal process of looking at wall to examine perception, you sit at a desk that has box about 8 to 10 feet in front of you and the normal displays appear. Dr. Weiss determined that I had minimal change to my vision, my vision was slightly improved, as result there would be no need for me to get a new prescription.I did browse their eye glass display. I was most impressed, this private office had as many options as those eye places in the mall. I was really impressed with my experience. They do accept VSP insurance. I highly recommend Smyrna Eye Group!
