We love round dancing (where they call out the dance steps as the dance goes along) and we think the Bloxom's are great dance instructors. Round dancing includes dances such as the waltz, rhumba, cha-cha, fox trot, two step and more. Instruction is at Kernstown United Methodist Church on Valley Road. Cost for instruction is 10 dollars per couple, per night. You should bring a dancing partner and wear comfortable shoes.

This is the place I have my family stay when they visit, and sometimes I think about going here just to get away! This hotel may be 10 - 20 dollars more than competitor's rooms, but it is worth it for the value.
The rooms are clean, large and comfortable. The hotel is very clean and non smokey. They offer hot drinks and fruit at all hours. There is a great indoor pool and hot tub, and a quality exercise room. The hotel staff is pleasant and attend to problems promptly and completely. Have a good stay!
Long Hill Bed and Breakfast is a charming B&B in north Winchester. The owners are lovely, gracious innkeepers and good cooks. The inn is beautiful, and contains many quirky surprises, such as a pinball machine, jigsaw puzzles to work on, and many different collections. The bedrooms are clean, comfortable, and private. There are private baths in each room, and there is also one shared bath with jacuzzi. The inn is large enough that you can have a private get-away, or spend time visiting others. The cost is excellent.
This inn exceeded our expectations, and we would recommend it to anyone!
Visited Passage to India for the lunch buffet after finding coupons on their website (www.pass2india.com). The buffet was a little small compared to other Indian buffets I have gone to, but the food was generally good. I particularly enjoyed the butter chicken and the curry chicken, Overall, I found the spiciness to be rather mild, and there was not hot sauce available, which was disappointing. This is definitely a buffet for beginners. The restaurant was clean, tastefully decorated, and had a full bar.
Service was less than ideal. We were never given napkins, and had to take them from another table. We also had to get up and find someone to get our bill, and then repeat the process to pay. Beverages were also disappointing. We ordered two lassis (yogurt drinks), but then after being brought one coke instead, we were informed that they had no more yogurt. We opted for the coke, which was improperly mixed and overly priced - 2.50, and we were not offered any refills.
The buffet was 7.95 per person. We might try this again if we're in the mood for Indian, but we'd probably only give them a second shot at dinner.
PROS: Good for beginners, nice atmosphere
CONS: Service, beverages, trying to pay, and may not be the type of Indian food you are looking for.
I just visited this Ruby Tuesday, and was impressed by the cleanliness of the restaurant. Every other Ruby Tuesday I have been to is cluttered in memorabilia, but this one has clean simple lines.
I had the turkey mini burgers and salad bar combo, which was more than enough for dinner, and absolutely delicious. Service was excellent. I don't usually eat at chain restaurants, but I will actually go back to this one.
I love this church! The preaching is amazing, the music is good, and everyone is accepted and welcomed. If you want to check out a sermon, the church puts them on line on the website.
There are usually five services: Sat night at 6:30, Sun at 8, 9:15, 11, and a Sunday night service. Each service has it's own style, so there are lots of options, and the sermon is the same at each service. The church has a pretty small parking lot for the size of the congregation, so I suggest going a little early. The church provides coffee, tea, and you are permitted to take your beverage into the sanctuary. Most people seem to dress pretty casually. Before or after the service, check out the information table. They'll love meeting you and answer any questions you might have.

We took our Volvo here for years, and found it to be the most cost effective place we've ever found for foreign made cars. They are experts in their field, and you will love them! The only downside is that they are very busy, and you might have a bit of a wait to schedule an appointment for your car.
PROS: Experienced, reliable, trustworthy, reasonable costs, no-frills, good location
CONS: Might have to wait
I love this place! It was recommended by a local while I was in the area, and I can't wait to go back. The atmosphere was cozy and eclectic, and the staff was amazing...and funny. Lunch was delicious, with generous portions and ample specials. Save room for dessert - it's worth the calories and then some. Food was served promptly, but there is a very relaxed feeling to the restaurant. They will not rush you at all.
