I wish I lived closer to Howell Mill just so I could eat at West Egg more frequently. The menu is incredibly diverse, as well as the staff. I recommend the Fried Green Tomato Wrap, a large glass of fresh-squeezed orange juice, and a biscuit - which comes with cinnamon butter. Well worth the drive into the city.
How can you not love an establishment that serves Sunbeam Sandwich Bread with a bowl of homemade barbecue sauce as an appetizer?!? The sandwiches and platters are beyond filling. The salads, with the house dressing (ranch + barbecue sauce), are HUGE and full of flavor. It has a very down-home feel. I recommend a LARGE glass of sweet tea.
After moving to Roswell, I began looking for some great Chinese food. I had heard of Chin Chin before, but had not eaten at one. I was headed to the Crabapple Publix when I decided to try Chin Chin out for the first time. The restaurant is small, but in a quaint, charming way. The service is quick and courteous. The food is excellent - a large variety of dishes, and they are always willing to cook a meal to your liking. I could easily exceed the character limit describing the food. My typical meal consists of Hot and Sour Soup, Vegetable Spring Rolls, and Kung Pao Chicken - extra spicy. Prices are very reasonable.
You can't help but feel comfortable as you enter Alessio's on Crossville Rd. It brings back memories of a pizzeria I practically grew up in - Gino's in the Mableton-/Austell-area. There is a large selection of appetizers, salads, and entrees from which you can choose, in addition to the pretty incredible pizzas. Servers are attentive and very polite. Prices are quite reasonable. I recommend the Pasta a la Linda, or the Tortellini Cardinale.
